To me this is not similar to the KC trial in that Caylee was a perfectly innocent victim. Travis Alexander wasn't a good person, IMO. He led Jodi on for sex only and I think he made vague promises to her to string her along. He used her while looking for the perfect Mormon woman to marry and look respectable with. Even after slashing his tires, twice, he still had sex with her. It's also claimed that the T-Shirt that said Travis Alexander's was done by him.
He did not deserve to die, but he treated her like dung. JMO
I kind of disagree. I think she was a stalker and used her sexuality to access Travis. She seduced him repeatedly. He said as much. That he didn't see a lasting relationship but that it was hard to say no to a naked girl showing up and climbing into your bed. I think he didn't have the fortitude to say no but she is the one who used him.
I have a feeling Jodie may get off, stranger things have happened. Her worst enemy is herself with her statement no jury will convict. Will this come back to haunt her?
I agree with those who say this is not a DP case. Call Jodie a nutcase, yes, a psycho girlfriend, yes. But Jodie arrived at 3 am, much more inline with a bootie call than a planned murder. I know they are claiming that they did not have sex until they woke up at 1 pm the following day but I believe they did the night before as well. Just because they say Travis watched Youtube does not mean sex did not take place before bed.
What I would be curious about and that is, did Jodie ever take her gun on previous outings or get togethers? Clearly imo this looks like a case of second degree murder, with a lot of overkill and lies afterwards. I also think time helps Jodie, had she received a quick trial, I believe she would have been convicted quickly.
By far I am not a Jodie fan and I hope she does get convicted, she actually seems quite comfortable in her current surroundings.
As far as the camera goes, I could see Travis flying off the handle if it was dropped and brand new.
Guys like girls, like to flirt with danger, I think this was Travis's downfall, something about see her still was exciting.
Not only did she report the same caliber gun missing as the one used in the murder, but the police in California didn't believe her story then.
And it doesn't matter that the gun is missing. Her team essentially admitted that she killed him. He was shot so a gun was used Who brings a loaded gun to a passionate booty call? Why was the gun so accessible during that booty call? And who drives 10 hours or so for a spur of the moment booty call?
I think there is ample evidence that this girl was enraged over the Mexico trip, had stalked Travis for months and planned to murder him.
I also think that if she was a man and Travis a girl, there would be no question this was a premeditated, death penalty worthy murder.
Will her defense lower her chair to make her more demure and frail looking?
They already did!!
