Circumstances of Disappearance
Kapusi was reported as missing by a friend that came from Switzerland looking for him on behalf of his family members in Hungary. The last time the friend had physically seen Kapusi was in 1993 in Palo Alto. The friend had feared that Kapusi may have been the victim of foul play while he was a resident of Mountain View over some business dealings, as Kapusi said he feared for his life and felt the need to leave the country in their last phone conversation in 1996.

This is a new case on NamUs.
Since it says he has family in Hungary searching for him, and a friend came from Switzerland to help them, I thought I would create a thread.

Although no photo or unique identifiers, we could keep him mind for any John Does.
I wonder if his family can get DNA on file with Interpol.

Do you have any thoughts about the cases?

Both cases are California, the UID wearing an item of clothing made in Europe...
but in 1999 JJK would have been about 52-years-old and estimated 6'0".
In 1999 UID was estimated 28 - 40 years old and 5'6".
To me, it seems an unlikely match

I'll see if I can find a thread for the UID and if not, I'll start one, though.

CA - CA - Tiburon, WhtMale, UP7084, 28 - 40, found on shore/ wearing briefs made in Switzerland, Aug'99

I wonder if they have DNA for this man, UP5946. I will start a thread for him soon. Does anyone think it seems like he may have jumped from the bridge and then came ashore? And then never identified, so sad.

There are a handful of ads in the classified section of a SF newspaper, all from 1990 for an Engineering business, Kapusi Labs. I imagine this could have been his business at the time, based out of Mountain View, CA.

There was also an ad for Kapusi Labs from 1981 looking for help (techs and engineers) based out of San Mateo, CA. Sounds like it started around the boom of Silicon Valley and was in business for a number of years but don’t see anything beyond 1990.

No exclusions for Mr. Kapusi.
