John Ramsey on Oprah

angelwngs,
mmm, John still considers what Patsy wore such a big deal, yet JonBenet is found wearing size-12 underwear, and he has no comment?

Maybe what Patsy wore is a bigger red flag than what we already think it is?

.
perhaps so,that's interesting,any ideas?

JMO8778,

Not the bathroom drawer, but JonBenet's bedroom dresser drawer?
yes,that's what I meant.

John must have known about the size-12's or come across them somehow. Why should Patsy lie in the manner she did, if she knew JonBenet had been redressed in the size-12's, makes you wonder if she knew that JonBenet's size-6's were probably removed too?

Looks like John was intent on deceiving Patsy with those size-12's, thats why the Wednesday pair becomes important, he knew that Patsy knew JonBenet was wearing a size-6 Wednesday pair, hence the swap? Makes you wonder if he did a search for a size-6 Wednesday pair came up with nothing then went for the size-12's, or just went for the size-12's right away simply because they had a Wednesday pair.

Yes , something along those lines. All very bizarre. I just wonder what Patsy really thought once she was told about JonBenet's chronic abuse, was silence simply part of the deal with John, or was she actively involved, I'm willing to accept some degree of ignorance on Patsy's part, now that I think John deliberately deceived her? That stuff about Patsy being due to expire, might have meant she could accept any guilt and sentence if she whacked JonBenet, and be able to reveal who had been molesting JonBenet, since her sentence would be short-lived? As you say it was all appearances, no pinstripe arrows for Patsy!

.
good thoughts!

I have never understood that. So all you have to do to get away with murder is have an accomplice?

Or a patsy (no pun intended, I SWEAR!) It's known as "one's word against the other." Even if the accomplice gets a sudden attack of conscience, their testimony alone will not tip the balance. It has to be corroborated.

Only an eyewitness knows who did what. And the eyewitness in this case was the victim. Is this just in Oz? Oops- I mean Boulder?

Not just in Boulder. Wendy Murphy talks about it in her book. "The Cross-Fingerpointing Defense."

Could Citizens for Justice for JonBenet sue them or JR in a Civil Suite?

I don't think so. The cops tried that. They were informed that only other family members could file a wrongful death suit.

Humm... then someone needs to represent JBR and she can sue them herself. Whatever settlement woud go toward her perpetual care and to charity for other victims of child abuse at the hands of a relative.

That's a tall order.

Number one, the fact that France can do something we can't is enough to make me want to scream!

Number two, an arrest is one thing. The charges might be something else.

Unfortunately, from a legal standpoint you can't do that. That's the main reason why they were never charged.

They weren't charged because they were prominent, rich people living in Boulder. If they'd been poor, or even rich, living almost any place else in CO, they WOULD have been charged and convicted on the mountain of evidence against them, circumstantial but convincing...to most, of course excepting the schlock DA's office in Boulder, the same office that brought JMK back into the country and proposed him to be JB's killer even though he was with his wife and kids across the country the night of the murder!

Well said, but I was speaking from a legal standpoint.

Not that it has anything to do with the subject at hand, but I was in a hardware store today, and I came across the kinds of white nylon cord that was found on JB. It was sold in lengths of 50 and 100 feet.

While I was looking them over, I had a thought which might account for what happened to the rest of the cord. The cord I saw was being marketed for use as clotheslines.

Anyone know if the Rs had a clothesline in their yard?

I haven't seen the cord you saw, obviously. But I do have a clothesline, and I'd never use a cord that thin for a clothesline. I have had both cotton and nylon clotheslines, and the nylon ones are even thicker than the cotton and usually come in colors twisted with white. They don't look anything like the cord found on JBR. But that doesn't mean a store wouldn't advertise it as such.

This one did. They advertised it as "resistant to rot and elements."

Please don't think that france is ahead of the US in solving crime, there have been some horrible crimes committed here, sometimes they just arresst poeple without any evidence and hold them without charge for up to 2 years! They don't have a word for forensics and as for postmortems they didn't even do one on Jim Morrison!
its scary

Wow does not begin to cover it.

That's right. The French justice system is "Guilty until proven innocent", the opposite of the way it is here in the US. While guilty people do sometimes go unprosecuted, at least there are fewer innocent people who are punished for crimes they didn't commit.

Marie Antoinette (aka the Widow Capet) had a hard time convincing her corrupt prosecutors she didn't do the things she was accused of- look where it got her!

The creepy factor:

So many images 'conjured'? up when reading the various RDI theories. Images that linger.

the thought/image of PR wiping down the maglite and batteries; chilling , the suggested use of the Ramsey's infrared binoculars; demonic, the thought of the Ramsey's moving about the maze of their home, sparingly using the beam of the maglite to light their way through this macabre chardade, .....grotesque and frenzied.

... danse macabre.

But the image that strikes me the most, is not a creation of my imagination.

John Ramsey, in his appearance on Oprah, his explanation of touch DNA.
His gestures, as he looked down, with his arms outstretched, to illustrate how the dna would have been transfered onto JBR longjohn waitband ....

The way he looked down, his animation, I dunno, something skipped a beat. I just can't explain it, I had never seen JR on TV before, but in that that instant ... something skipped a beat.

It's rough on us, too.

He has that affect on a LOT of people, me included. You should see him on the Larry King Face-off with Det. Thomas. Does "Emperor in Star Wars" mean anything to you?
