She has narc behavior. She isolated him from his sister and friends (that red flagged her pre-marriage). I read she was unsympathetic when his mother ,who he adored, passed. Not esp kind to his kids.
She surrounded herself with her flying monkey friends by housing them the (Johnny paid for)Depp penthouses. I think her sister even lived with her there!Tantrums and behavior of a woman-child. Always painting herself ‘the victim’.
AND..Let’s not overlook when she threw a bottle at him that severed his finger tip off , then right after that put a cig out on his cheek.

Johnny Depp has quit his role in the third instalment of the Fantastic Beasts film franchise after his unsuccessful trial against The Sun newspaper. The star said he agreed to a request to resign and added the judgement of the High Court trial would not change his fight to tell the truth.
“I have been asked to resign by Warner Bros. from my role as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts and I have respected and agreed to that request,” he said in a statement on social media. “I intend to prove that the allegations against me are false. “My life and career will not be defined by this moment in time.”

I couldn't agree more BeachSky, I'm sure he'll get through this. My only question to him right now would be, Why?

Why stay with her and let her treat him the way she did?

First time I've commented in words since the day the verdict came out. Just hope he gets treatment now for the drink and drugs and not waste time getting back on the straight line.
