Depp's sister's testimony clearly sounds rehearsed....imo. Looking forward to cross on this witness. Essentially her testimony puts blame on their mother (abuse), speaks to Depp being a humble, family man devoted to his children. Sister says she has had many career positions working for Depp. So, she has been on Depp's payroll for many years.
Well a sibling IMO usually is the one person who knows & went through the same family drama. I think the sis is hanging in there.
It actually shows that JD was kind including his sis in the business ... Forgiving and generous concerning his mother.
AH hitched herself onto JD to further her career. She moved all her friends into those JD penthouse apts. They spent JD’s money & ate his food. This goes for the guys (we know of) she was bringing up to the JD apt in the elevator lift. I think when J finally was done with her …wanted to end her cash flow…her controlling drama…she set out to destroy him.
She needs to pay IMO

I believe JD has lived his life being generous to others - especially family and friends. I don't believe he inflicted any type of abuse on anyone except himself (via substances and falling for AH). It's not easy being in the public eye. I hope his legal team steps up their game as the case continues, and the jury ultimately rules in his favor.

‘a salary’ is not automatically synonymous with ‘a bribe’, lol; despite what Heard’s team has been trying to twist people into believing for years.

if this is the case, I’m a little surprised her lawyer would already bring up the testimony of Heard’s (paid) makeup artist, about Amber’s putative double black eyes, before they are even out of opening statements.

Heard also, it seems, has admitted frequently in connection with this very case, that lots of people in his orbit adore Johnny because he’s extraordinarily nice and kind (‘for anyone in the pantheon of humans’, really; not just ‘in the pool of insanely famous people’); so it’s not really surprising she’d have to exaggerate things in order to make people believe he’d step this far out of acceptable forms of humanity; but it works both ways.

if he’s super nice, this also explains the loyalty as much as any paycheck does. He can’t not pay his employees, lol.

It’s basically like saying we should never believe anyone who testifies on behalf of their employer; and yet, lawyers drag employees up to testify for and against their current and past employers all the time.

I didn't think she was rehearsed. In fact, I think they didn't prepare her at all because she was a bad on both direct and cross.

Everybody was on mostly good subtle psychosocial behavioral control, which is good.

If Attorney Chew was displeased with her testimony, we didn’t know it because he didn’t betray it with his expressions - he’s got a great poker face.

I hope someone is able to convince Johnny to spend less time moving his chair around (nobody likes being constantly stared at by a camera for every minute of 7 hours, but it’s distracting, and at this point in his career I should hope he knows it); and I hope Amber continues to remain mostly passive as a viewer of the proceedings, because I can’t take the same (bad) acting she deployed during her taped deposition.

Just showed both of them arriving at court. Heard is wearing a coat and tie today.

yes, I was glad the Court TV anchor cleared that up, lol.

Clearly somebody has been scrawling notes so that their ‘rn’ looks like an ‘m’.

also, for my money they can table any makeup cross examination until they get a woman on the stand. My best friend is a visual artist also (photography), and he has never noticed when I have smudged his shoulder or lapel with makeup; and recently expressed shock at my observation that a teenaged clerk at McD’s was wearing false eyelashes in the afternoon (they looked like mascara brushes, lol. Him: ‘I didn’t notice!’) I’ve worn foundation, blush, under eye concealer, a touch of eyeliner and mascara; and had cisgender males say to me specifically ‘you’re not wearing any makeup!’

Unmarried men in my experience, almost overwhelmingly don’t notice any makeup short of Tammy Faye.

Mr. Baruch going into great detail about Amber's behavior and why it has made him extremely mad when questioned about if he is "mad" at her. A's attorney let him outline all the ways in which he feels Amber lied and concocted her story and the alleged "evidence" of said story.

A's attorney then came back with "but what if it's true?"

I think she should not have allowed him that space to outline all the lies. I believe he believes and I think the jury will too.

OK, I feel I have to ask... is anyone else experiencing throttled/silenced audio during portions that someone thinks is too ugly for our virgin ears, lol?

They blocked out a sizable portion of Attorney Bredeshoff's description of the Bettany texts yesterday; and also dropped out a palpable amount of content of the texts (I assume) exchanged between Depp and Baruch today.

(I blame Amazon/FireTV, frankly, based upon relatively innocuous things they've censored in my Amazon reviews (!); but I'm willing to think it might be CourtTV or something else.)
