I didn't think she was rehearsed. In fact, I think they didn't prepare her at all because she was a bad on both direct and cross.

I think being too rehearsed can come across as not forthcoming. I thought she was just awful ..it is important to be careful with your words but with her it came across to me as lying.

This defense attorney is cracking me up saying "amica cream" when it should be arnica.

i looked it up and indeed there is also a cream to cover things called amica. I don't think Issac as charming as he was really knows if someone has makeup on or not. I am sure she is very skilled at makeup and natural looking is what she goes for most of the time.

I will be honest I don't care about either of these hollywood stars.....but I like to give both sides a fair hearing. I hope that the jury is not as star struck as some of these chats!! People thinking that it is impossible to abuse while strung out on booze and pills? Not realistic. Not saying AH is great...but there are two sides here and the burden of proof is on JD.

I watch the trial via youtube also. I have found it to be the best video coverage, but also noted the huge fan club atmosphere in the chat. I shut the chat down so I don't have to see them yackity-yack. It's easier that way to 'turn off the noise,' allowing me to get my own personal impressions.

I am certainly no fan of Hollywood personalities in general. I find all ( or most) to be a giant snobs, with hypocritical values thrown in for good measure. See the recent Oscars for proof. Neither of these two yahoos..(AH and JD) show me the picture of the virtuous pure marriage partner. They both are failures in that department, IMO. Each of them has a huge EGO problem, and their viciousness towards each other appears in different ways.

JD may not "win" this case, but he is doing all he can to repair his image ( EGO ) . It's his turn at bat, after the huge home run hit outta the park by AH. So far, I have seen a few swings and misses during this trial. But this will be a long long drawn out trial, with extra innings.....

Late to the trial, so just now on defense opening statement. I think they're making a big mistake in the telling of this marriage. Toxic - yes, on both sides probably, but they're painting JD as the abuser and AH as the victim.

Need to see all the evidence, but I can't imagine the jury buying this version at all. I've heard the recordings and seen Amber's deposition and no way do I believe, she innocent in all this. At all.

Frankly, one of the things that turned me towards JD's side was a casual comment by some friend of his in an interview.

The friend said it was not unusual during Johnny and Amber's marriage for them to invite Johnny to come to their house for dinner one night, and then "the next thing you know, he's still there two weeks later, sleeping over in my guest bedroom".

Not only did this seem retrospectively reminiscent of the kind of thing I've heard prior, from/about domestic abuse victims spending as little time possible in their homes with their abuser; it also carried with it such specificity that I thought "this has to be true. The average person who randomly throws around some lie or another on the spur of the moment to cover up for someone, is only going to be able to grab at a conventional dull lie. People generally aren't that creative about giving alibis."

LOL, as an admin of many years I can relate... have had more than one job myself in my time which has given me "Devil Wears Prada" flashbacks over the course of several months. Oh, the years I spent telling everyone I knew, "no way can I quit smoking. Smoking is literally the only excuse I can get to go off premises for 3-5 minutes twice a day."

Right! From what I can gather, in AH's own words, JD would be the one to walk away during conflict. It was a big issue in their marriage, it seems.

Celebrity status and ego go hand-in-hand.

From the testimony so far... I'd much rather spend time with Johnny Depp, Ike and Keith Richards as even in their drunken states they would be more genuine than the superficial AH and her awake and angry pals. I'd feel more safe with the first three men than with AH.
