I agree! I'm sure most of us would hate to have some of our text messages with our friends read out loud. At least I know I would!

But probably you would not have ever sent such texts.

The language is shocking. No doubt IMO that there are violent expressions by Depp whether verbal or written. They are pretty bad.

But why did Amber record this? Wouldnt it be the last thing on your mind?

I see her face, her expressions during this trial. She is so hard.

Depp also is acting his heart out, but makes intelligent replies in what is a terrible scenario

I don’t know if it’s intended for intimidation.

It may be her goal to revive the sick-seeming early game she ran on JD in the beginning, the ‘presented herself as a carbon copy of me’, in an attempt to, I don’t know, make him want to go easier on her? Fall under her spell again? I think she’s the kind of person who would like nothing more than to fool him into falling for her again only to make him miserable.

She wanted to convince him that they were deathless soulmates. It’s been indicated to the outside world to us multiple times, through the reported words and actions of both since 2015. Bonding them through adrenaline and trauma, IMO, making herself seem indispensable to him.

I wanted to know this too… unfortunately the CourtTV commenting gang completely ignored the questions of how the recordings came to be in the first place, and for what purpose (at least as far as I could tell while I did chores in the foreground). I’ll bet he wishes with all his might he never suggested it now; but he was clearly desperate to pin her down, as she kept telling him that no, she never in fact said or did what he’s telling her she did…

It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if she is.

It’s definitely within her mind games. I heard it on the news but not sure what source it was drawn from.

I was looking up BPD disorder. IMO it fits with how I see AH.

Because a person with borderline personality disorder feels uncertain about themselves and their place in the world, their interests and values can change very quickly and frequently. Opinions of others can often change suddenly as well. Someone who is a friend one day may seem like an enemy the next. This affects the ability to form strong, stable relationships with others. Other behaviors that contribute to struggling to connect include living in fear of abandonment. This fear may be warranted for some but it can also be imagined for others. The combination of impulsivity, fear of abandonment, and hesitancy to trust tend to result in a series of rapidly initiating intimate relationships or cutting off communication with others at any moment.

That's probably true, but I also would never be married to a manipulative, narcissistic sociopath either. Of course this is MOO since I'm not a doctor and don't play one on tv. lol

Amber recorded because she had an agenda. She wanted to use these things as blackmail to get a larger settlement or to keep him in the marriage. Her expressions say a lot (to me) .. I've not seen one tear. She never cared about him .. she only cared about what he could do for her. Again .. these are MOO.

I've never seen one of Johnny Depp's movies and only know OF him but never really knew much else. I watched some interviews he's done over the years and the way he talks on the stand is the same way he talks in his interviews. I don't think that's an act. And another thing that surprised me .. he is very funny.

I have no idea what happened behind closed doors but I can only imagine the hurt and betrayal you'd feel when you find out that someone you love is filming you or photographing you without your knowledge and sharing it with people .. not for the intention of helping you but for the intention of hurting you. To break that level of trust is beyond my comprehension.

I am reserving judgement until I hear both sides and closing. One thing that really bothers me is JD's continuing attempts at humor in response to defense attorney and the gallery laughing (maybe others too). A bit surprised this judge tolerates this. I sure hope the jury is not laughing. Nothing here comes close to being amusing and yet his philosophy (as stated in his own words) is to find humor in virtually everything. I think this courtroom should be the exception. Out of curiosity I went back to see Rum Diary which as described by JD was the beginning of this ill fated relationship. She was/is beautiful and in that movie and so much younger than him...as her personality started to unfold he would have been well served to break it off so much sooner. At this time looks like 50/50 blame to me.

She wears a similar outfit/look on the day after he wears it. So if he shows up in a grey suit and a ponytail on Monday, she shows up in similar attire on Tuesday. It really was noticeable especially that first few days.
OK, thanks. I just started watching and am getting my bearings. She sounds so odd.

While Johnny’s testimony is a bit bizarre due to his odd speech pattern and semi-British accent, I believe what he says. I think this woman is a whole lot of trouble. I hope this is resolved quickly

I thought his his speech pattern was being faked for the jury until we heard him speak in one of the recorded conversations and he sounded exactly the same. So I crossed that off my hinky list.

Because both JD and AH are celebrities, most of the info and coverage concerning these two comes from celebrity news coverage and not a major news source. Hence, much information cannot be linked on WS because they aren't approved sources. But, I have done research on both Depp, Heard, Vanessa, and Ryder. I also have researched the "proceedings" in the UK. There is a plethora of info out there that should be read before judgements are made based on some texts, emails, and videos. Eg. Behavior before he met AH; long term relations with Wynona and Vanessa; dealings with employees, and dealings with employers. I can't find any redeeming qualities in AH. She's ridden his coat tail too long, and needs to move on. She's not woth much financially right now, and after this she'll be worth a lot less. MOBOF

I had a loved one, also male with a a partner who was a bit of an Amber, who was caught up in a toxic relationship. It can be so clear from the outside that things need to end, and hard to understand why the people themselves persist. With my loved one, and perhaps with JD, he wanted very much to believe that the persona his partner originally presented was the “real” one and he kept hoping that with enough love, that person would reappear. There was also substance abuse involved, which kept them from thinking rationally.

I agree with you about JD’s attempts at humor, and I’m also put off by his rambling and pontificating when he needs to just answer Yes or No. There’s a whiff of arrogance and a fair amount of what appears to be evasiveness. And it didn’t help that some of his testimony has been impeached. He needs to cut the crap and take this more seriously.
