The Moorehead PD Facebook page has a little more info and a couple of photos of him. (one of those downloaded and attached below so you can enlarge it). Morehead Police Department | Morehead KY His Mom has posted information on FB as to his known movements in the weeks/months prior but that is unverified.

Based on where his Mom stated he started from I checked court records there - he had a few very minor vehicular tickets but that is it But he has lived/traveled in other states it appears. Vermont Judiciary Public Portal

There's not much on the internet, a person with his name out in Arizona has been in the legal news in the past but NOT the same person ( 15 years apart in age).

He was doing sort of a long camping trip,” his sister Kara Bolton said. “He had traveled down the east coast of the US, doing a lot of camping and exploring and walking around. He walked about 17 miles a day.”

On Nov. 4, a local firefighter and logger found Ploof’s campsite and a cell phone near the road, which prompted deputies to go out and investigate.
