Jonathan Vicart was born on December 28, 1985, into a modest family. At the time, his parents lived on rue de Fontenoy in Antoing, Belgium. From his birth, this little one experienced numerous health problems, particularly with regard to digestion. At the time of his disappearance, he was hospitalized again for respiratory problems which had been added to the previous ones.
On Friday June 13, 1986 at the end of the afternoon, he was supposed to have a control x-ray.
The last time he was seen by a nurse was around 5:10 p.m.
At 5:50 p.m., Jonathan's dad's sister discovered a completely empty bed. All that remained were the safety pins to which this baby was attached by his clothes, in the isolated room he occupied at the end of the corridor. Blankets and toys were also missing!
After searches that didn't lead nowhere, the conclusion was inevitably that Jonathan was no longer within the hospital establishment!
The police were then notified and a major system was immediately put in place.
Judge Tollebeeck arrived on the scene early in the evening. The area surrounding the clinic was combed.
Staff were questioned. Divers have even combed the Tournaisian quarries. All without success.
The most worrying thing is that given Jonathan's state of health, this baby needed constant medical care.
In particular the administration of antiemetics, to avoid problems with vomiting and malnutrition.
No photo of Jonathan is available. His mother said about this: "He was always hospitalized, I never had the opportunity to take photos of him."
Jonathan has a distinctive sign: a blister-shaped birthmark, very red, approximately 1 cm by 0.5 cm between the ring and little fingers of his left hand.
