JonBenet's case on Anderson Cooper 360

  • #21
I really wish that AC360 would put up a schedule of all the cold cases they plan on showing. I would really like to know if they're going to do a segment on Etan Patz. It seems like they're doing this all month so they have quite a few more cold cases to go. The only commercials I've seen for it show JonBenet's grave, Notorious BIG, and some people I could not identify. One of them showing a child running or riding a bike (I can't remember) and said something like "Never seen again" or "Disappeared Without A Trace". I didn't recognize the child at all even though I think I have a big knowledge of infamous crimes.

The girl on the bicycle is Amber Hagerman, who was kidnapped while riding her bicycle less than two blocks from her grandparents home in Texas. Her killer has never been found. Her Mom fought to get a system in place to alert the public and other LE agencies when a child is kidnapped. The Amber Alert is named after her daughter.

Her case has been our Featured Cold Case this week. I was shocked when I learned there was very little about her on Websleuths. :(

I'll tell you what I think about those videos! I think that first one is disgusting! Whomever put it together has no heart!

I'm sorry to get so upset. But family is all we have in this world, no matter who they are or what they've done.

The other one was lovely. I'm sure Burke would make JonBenet proud.

SuperDave, didn't Burke have a friend? That is what peaks my interest.

This one is beautiful too and there are some natural pictures of JonBenet I haven't seen prior. What do you all think of the age enhanced picture of JonBenet?

I haven't seen some of those pics either but now seeing this I have to say New Bruise Alert! At 1:34 in the video you can see a bruise right below her lace glove on her right arm. I am not making light of this at all...I have just noticed bruises in other pictures but have never seen this one. I know kids get them all the time but it just seems odd that JB has so many on her arms.

HI, I watched the segment on a late re-run and was astounded to hear John Walsh say he didn't believe the Ramsey's were involved at all. I sat there wondering what Tricia and RiverRat's thoughts were on the segment.

I wasn't astounded. Why be astounded by something that makes sense?

Uh, there is mystery DNA at the crime scene.

What I do think makes sense were John's remarks that the Boulder police had tunnel vision on the Ramsey's when they should have been investigating SO's, people passing thru the area, neighbors etc. That and how the actual investigation was the most amateurish one he had ever seen {I don't know his exact words on that}, almost to inferring the case is in jeopardy of ever being solved because of that.

I should have known better than to comment in a case I have not followed from the start. xox

IDI does NOT make sense...and even though John Walsh is IDI....Marc Klaas is not.

IDI does not make sense to the ignorant. I'm sure it made sense to the intruder.

But John Walsh has actually helped solve more cases than RDI, right?

I HOPE that you are not calling me ignorant. You are ignoring Patsy's fibers being found all over the crime scene, the fact that Patsy's handwriting matches the RN, the size 12/14 panties....and many, many other things...YOU are the ignorant one.

I hope you aren't calling anyone here ignorant either. :nono:

Marc Klaas is RDI and John Walsh is IDI. I doubt either of them know any more information than we do, and if they do, it's probably something very minimal. They just have opinions like everyone else in America does regarding this case. I don't think anyone, whether they are RDI or IDI, should use either of them to support their point as gospel.

Why not?

Since they both have different views regarding the case, then I am going to assume that they both don't know more than we do or that only one of them has privileged information. Who is more likely to have exclusive information--John Walsh or Marc Klaas? I have no idea.

The only reason I would consider either of their opinions is the fact that they have both experienced the agony of having their children kidnapped and murdered. After I take that into consideration, I then look at the individual circumstances of each of the fathers. John Walsh's child was kidnapped from a local mall and Marc Klass' daughter was kidnapped from her own home by an intruder. Everyone here can decide for themselves which one would have the most "expert" opinion, for me it's hand's down Marc Klass.

I honestly had not thought of that. Great point Beck!

How do you know Marc Klass is RDI? Source requested.

Sorry HOTYH, I have heard Mr. Klass express his opinion on the Ramsey case many times on various tv news programs (such as nancy Grace), but I will search for any links to provide proof.

Good luck with that 'search'.

I have talked to him myself....how is THAT for your source! I asked him if he thought that there was an intruder. His exact quote..."NO intruder! Just the Family".
