p83 ...she was enhancing Jon-Benet's pageant resumes with such things as violin and french lessons, and was even attributing highly improbable quotes to the child, such as how the world would be a better place if we planted daffodils.

BBM: ITA. JonBenet likely copied Patsy's general behavior and for Patsy that meant being bossy and displaying her wealth with all the usual nouveau riche touches.

An example of JonBenet being bratty might be when she told LHP to go away when she walked in on JonBenet and BR under the bedsheets.

In real life JonBenet's real personality would simply be that of Patsy lite with allowances for childish desires, etc.

I think if you took JonBenet on a weeks vacation, took her to one side and said lets talk about stuff, a conflicted personality might appear, with the Patsy lite mask dropped, the real JonBenet would appear, vocalizing her evident wishes and desires.

The JonBenet we have come to know is a product of the Paugh school of childhood training.

One correction: It was Burke (not JonBenet) who is reported to have told LHP to get out when she caught them under the sheets.
