A Google search of Weston Camp brings up a caravan park. Was he holidaying there?

Was he working at the caravan park or somewhere else?

Renewed appeal for missing Jordan Corcoran

Thursday, July 5, 2018

We are extremely concerned for the welfare of Jordan Corcoran, 27, who is still missing.

He was last seen at Weeton Camp on Singleton Road, Weeton at shortly before midnight on Tuesday (July 3rd). He has left the camp but has not returned there for work.

Jordan is described as white and 5ft 8ins tall. It is not known what clothing he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.

It is thought that he has links to Blackburn, Wigan and Liverpool.

DI Alisa Wilson from Blackpool Police said: “We are renewing our appeal as we are very concerned for Jordan’s wellbeing and would urge anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to call us immediately.

“Similarly if Jordan himself sees this appeal, I would ask him to please speak to us or a friend or family member to let us know you are okay.”

Anyone with information can contact call us on101 quoting log 1826 of July 4th.

I thought he was in the armed forces at Weeton Barracks

He may well be. I didn't know there was an Army base there.

"not returned there for work" doesn't sound too military though. I think they would have said "not reported for duty" or similar.

But I'm just guessing.

There's not much info out there.

Thankyou to whoever created the post.

He worked there and was in the forces.

Weeton Camp isn’t that big compared to some other bases. There’s a few streets of residential buildings for families of the people who work and train there, and there’s one way in and one way out as far as I’m aware. It’s a decent walk to anywhere of prominence, with a small town called Wesham with a rail station to Preston and Blackpool 10 minutes by car or an hours walk. There’s a couple of local taxi companies but they’d be checked out for info.

I’m from the area, so if you’d like any questions answering about the place or anything else I don’t mind answering.

So the last sighting of Jordan was overnight 3/4 July What are the local roads like for walking ie pavements or single track roads. Any holiday homes or caravan parks if it's near to Blackpool.

From Weeton camp you can walk South and before reaching Wesham you’d go past two holiday parks. Accidently take a right instead of left and you’d cross a major B-road which (follows into Blackpool) and end up in a town called Wrea Green. Take the road left and you’d end up in Wesham. Wesham has a newly opened 24/7 garage where you can get alcohol, cigarettes, food etc. It wouldn’t surprise me if he wanted something, couldn’t get a taxi so decided to walk it into town and back.

I don’t want to name myself here but I know the taxi services in Wesham first hand and they do A LOT of jobs from Weeton camp into Wesham. Late night people can struggle getting a taxi in that area and it could be possible he’d walk if he wanted to get into the town.

I see absolutely no reason why he would go North into Singleton. There’s nothing there, you’d head that way to go to Poulton which has a decent nightlife but not on a weekday.

The roads themselves from Weeton to Wesham are single track roads, unlit in some places, I wouldn’t want to walk at night on them, and then turning into lit pavements coming into Wesham.

It’s horrible speculating but I think he could’ve took a wrong turning in the night walking into Wesham for whatever reason and ended up in a dodgy part of the road. Or he could’ve just needed some headspace away from everyone and took a week away from everyone. I hope to god it’s the latter.

That's exactly what was concerning me,the possibility of the unlit country roads. Bad enough to walk in daylight. Have any searches been organised for this young man.... it reminds me of Corrie. Hoping he turns up safe very soon

I just had a missing appeal for this man come up in my Facebook newsfeed and came to see if there was already a thread for him!

There's not much info to go on being released but, the impression I get from the appeals gives me concerns for his mental health :(

I was wondering what was the extra concern. You may be right.

I just don’t understand why he’d walk it. There’s nothing about that area apart from Wesham to the South. Sure you can head West to Blackpool but either way you’d need transport. After stewing about it for a couple of days I’m convinced he got transport through a friend, hitchhiked or a taxi and (slightly less convinced) but still thinking he made his way towards Preston which is 25 mins in a car away.

Come back home Jordan.

Blackburn Police have reported they have located a body believed to be Jordan in a wooded area on the Weeton Camp site. I can’t figure out how to copy the link sorry. It’s the first post on the Blackburn and Darwen Police FB page.

Rest in Peace, Jordan.

Utterly heartbreaking!

84 men (on average) in the UK alone, commit suicide every WEEK.

How is this possible?

What's the average for women? (just out of interest)
