I think that there IS a distinct possibility that he was struck a vehicle. Point of initial impact was the eye anterior, with a concurrent posterior head strike. He died at that spot due to hypothermia and blunt force. It has been my belief that the insults to the arm were from the undercarriage of a vehicle.
I believe Karen Read hit him. But thanks to dirty cop Proctor, the case was muddied. I pray that John and his family get justice. It may be that Karen Read should have been charged with manslaughter instead. I think she drank a lot that night, same with John, and her temper got the best of her. Her vehicle was there. John was in it. I think he got out and she got mad and acted erratically. When someone is fighting for their life (as in fighting to stay out of prison) lies can at some point be accepted by them themselves as the truth.

With the “spinning problem” and this thread opening up to us, I’m confused about best place to post. I apologize for duplication:

Is there any chance in the world this case could be researched further? Even resolved?

Murdered: Stevie Johnston, age 9, d. 1966 in Bethesda, Md

I realize your interest isn’t justice, it’s scientific facts — guess there just couldn’t be any viable evidence this many years later?

Stevie Johnston, age 9, was abducted Mother’s Day afternoon in 1966 when he walked over to Kenwood Country Club in Bethesda, Md., to look for stray golfballs. He was murdered and his body was found the next morning near the railroad tracks (now a bike trail) along Little Falls Parkway. I was his age when this happened and it haunts me to this day. I drive by the spot where they found his body probably once a week and think of him. That precious little boy.

Hi Knitty!
The Terry Bowers case is the one that really bothers/haunts me: New effort to solve 1970 murder of Boy Scout stabbed on Chesco campout

It is my belief that that the work that Kristen and David Mittleman are doing will be regarding as the TOUCHSTONE of our generation in forensics..... GAME CHANGING! www.dnasolves.com
Haunts me too. It happened a year before I was born just a few hundred yards from my childhood home. I've been trying to do research on it but it's hard to find. There was supposed to be a pretty in depth documentary on it called "Unholy Ground" but I can't find it anywhere and don't know if the plug was pulled on it. I'm actually going to the county library tomorrow to find all the news articles I can on it in their microfiche catalogue.
