It was a sham from day one! A way to get him out of town, out of the public eyes, and away from media.

Of course he left early. He was never "officially" enrolled in the program. Oh, he may have met with a biblical counselor a few times, so that was on record if ever needed. But that is it.

Two comments to make. When children are raised in a home shutoff from what goes on in the real world, they are overwhelmed when or if they ever get out.

Moving to DC was truly an eye opening experience for Josh, who walked into the evils it offered. It just shows the parents can raise their children to live the way God wants them to, however, as an adult, said child will do as he pleases.

My second comment is that it is time for Josh to grow up and take control of his own life! More than likely, the statement should read, it is time for JimBob to let go of the apron strings and quit controlling his adult children.

Found it creepy--belly rubbing and deer in the headlights expressions talking about how the family will get through the challenges.

I think that the family freak show has been upstaged by the freakier antics of the oldest son--and anything short of full and honest disclosure will fail to find an audience.

Gee, I hope you are right that such a show would "fail to find an audience". I'm jaded enough to think that the freakish train wreck nature of the Duggar Daughter spin offs will probably attract enough gawkers to keep the counting franchise chugging right along.
