So? Is that worth her children's well being? It's time to get out of there with those kids. She needs to wake up and stand up for her children. Is she going to take hand outs from Jim Bob and depend on him for the rest of her life? What kind of life is that?
It's the life she has chosen for herself and her children. She can't be the head of the family. She and her children have to be under the authority of a male headship. She has always known that. With Josh in prison, someone else is going to have to step in to that role until he comes back.

I'm not sure if Anna will have input into who her new headship will be or if the family/church make that decision for her.

Regardless, she knew the rules when she chose this life and she chose it anyway. She's not going anywhere. jmo

Live updates from Josh Duggar child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 trial after Anna seen at court

After the verdict was read, Jim Bob hugged Anna. The Sun reports that Anna looked “stoic.”

Justin Duggar and his wife, Claire Spivey, were in the courtroom. Justin reportedly cried and was emotional when the guilty verdict was read.

Hilary Spivey, Claire’s mother, and David Waller, Anna’s brother-in-law, were there as well.

As the family left the courthouse, they walked very quickly and didn’t say anything to the reporters standing outside. They all got into a large SUV and drove off.

Gosh at least they weren’t smiling as they left this time. A bit more appropriately human.

I did the math for the federal sentencing guidelines and here's what I came up with:

Base offense 18 U.S.C. §§ 2252A(a)(2) and (b)(1) = Level 22

No intent to distribute - decrease 2 levels = Level 20

Victims under the age of 12 - increase 2 levels = Level 22

Masochistic, sadistic or portrayal of violence - increase 4 levels = Level 26

Use of computer - increase 2 levels = Level 28

At least 300 images, but fewer than 600, increase by 4 levels = Level 32 (I calculated this count by adding 65 images + 200 attempted deleted images + 1 video = 75 images = 340 total images).

If you want to do your own calculation, go here: https://www.ussc.gov/guidelines/2018-guidelines-manual/annotated-2018-chapter-2-e-k#NaN

Sentencing guideline for Level 32 offender is 121-151 months. Calculate here: USSC Guidelines

I love you. Thanks for that. So 10-12 years!! Oh I hope this happens.

Now for my unpopular opinion. I do feel terrible for Anna. I know she's stood by him, she's blamed others, and so on, but I can't help it. This is not what she thought she was getting in a husband. I believe she was convinced that what he'd done to his sisters and the babysitter was teenage temptation and milder than what he'd actually done to them.
Snipped for focus
IMO Anna is a victim in this, one of many victims, including because now she has to be a single mom because her husband makes terrible decisions. So well put to say "this is not what she thought she was getting into".

I feel like there's a lot of blame getting heaped onto Anna, but none of this is her fault, her life has been difficult, and now it will be exponentially so.

I wonder what happened in 2013?

"The couple, pictured with six of their seven young children, subscribed to a service in 2013 called Covenant Eyes that monitors adult internet use and would report 'objectionable material' to wife Anna, the court heard"

They got married in 2008. The sexual assaults of his sisters became public knowledge in 2015. The affairs and the Ashley Madison scandal happened a few months later. Danica Dillon filed her sexual assault lawsuit later that same year.

So what happened in 2013 that made Covenant Eyes necessary? What did he get caught doing in 2013?

And speaking of Ashley Madison, why on earth would Anna name her latest child Madyson????

By "new headship" are you saying the church will force a new husband on Anna?

She is in a perilous place IMO. Could she complain if the new headship expected more than just giving advice?

No. Josh is her husband for life, but not necessarily her headship. Girls are passed from the headship of their father to the headship of their husband when they get married. If something happens to the headship (either father or husband) someone has to stand in for that role.

For instance, the 31 year old unmarried Duggar daughter is still under the headship of her father and lives in his house. She will remain under his headship until she gets married or he dies. Whichever comes first.

She'd have to take her complaints to the church elders (all men) and they would handle it. Or not. As a woman, she has no personal agency outside of what her headship permits. jmo

Honestly I believe Anna has been a single mother for a long time.
Living with a Sex Offender and having to have Covenant Eyes so she can watch him.
That can’t be any kind of happy life.

She can leave if she actually wants to. In my opinion, she doesn't want to. Do I blame her? No.

Since the Judge has discretion to take an upward deviation and because Josh took this to trial (didn't plea) - I hope it's the 12-15 years maximum.

JB is helping her financially, setting her up with LLC's.

According to the Secretary of State’s Office, Anna filed business licenses as the registered agent for Ravenglass South LLC, Raven Glass North, LLC and Glasglow Drive, LLC on July 11, 2020.

She also filed for Lexington Contractors, LLC on July 17, 2020.

Josh is listed as an officer on the business, while she is the registered agent.

The new business ventures come after Josh’s used car dealership, Wholesale Motorcars, closed last year.

Josh and Anna Duggar open FOUR businesses after car dealership shuts down

I do think it's important to note that Jim Bob puts properties and businesses under his kid's and in-laws' names for tax reasons.

Thanks CharlestonGal!

I don't agree with any of that. If she wanted to survive financially without Jim Bob she could. Doing nothing and still getting her bills paid is way easier tough. Sorry but that's the reality.

Facts are facts.

Honestly, it could be something really bad or it could just be Anna caught him watching 🤬🤬🤬🤬 (with consenting adults). Josh is beyond soulless and vile, but with these people you just don't know.

What month was it in 2013, I wonder? They moved to Washington DC in June 2013, and moved back to Arkansas in 2015 after the initial news about him molesting the 5 girls broke. Maybe he was looking for sex workers in the DC area or something (Backpages, Craigslist, etc.)

It's like he's approaching it as if it were a publicity photo for the TV series? Very odd compared to other booking photos I've seen of people looking ashamed or contrite.

You can tell from his nasty facial expression that he has no remorse for what he has done. Of course pedophiles never do.
