Yes she does. Can't believe they put her on the stand.

Clayman said in Bush's report, she does not mention remote access apps on Linux, but she mentioned an app for such access, Remmina, in her testimony.

He asked if there was proof Remmina was used and she said the logs were overwritten.

Wow. Was Bush secretly hired by the feds to testify on behalf of Josh, b/c she's doing a smashup job for them.

ON TRIAL

Josh Duggar trial LIVE – Anna Duggar with husband at child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 hearing as Jill and Jedidiah expected to testify

- What to know about Josh Duggar’s sexual abuse scandal
- What has happened to Josh Duggar and what is he doing now?
- What you need to know about Josh Duggar’s wife Anna
- What is Josh Duggar's net worth?

Is Jill still expected to testify? From what I've heard (I have been quite busy, so not keeping a super close eye on the trial), it seems like it may be wrapping up today/tomorrow.

I'm trying to prepare myself for a not guilty verdict. Hate the very thought, moo.

I truly hope not - I think we ALL do - but I am trying to prepare myself as well, although I do believe he will probably be found guilty and have screwed himself over by not accepting the earlier plea deal. IMO

I wonder if the defense computer expert is picked by the lawyers OR is she picked by JimBob and is she a church member, therefore JimBob sho is paying for the defense bill is saying who can testify …..moo and just wondering.

Just a brief point: the client is Josh, and the client makes the decisions - even if someone else is paying. Now, I’m sure there is pressure from Jim Bob but - per attorney rules of conduct - the client makes the decisions.

I very much doubt the expert has any kind of personal connection to Jim Bob. Attorneys tend to know which experts are suitable for their cases; if they do not, there are all kinds of expert directories. JMO.

someone remembers a conversation about computer from 11 years ago? interesting

She’s not the only one. I think technology when it came to the internet/computers was a big deal in their sect back then.

Where is there reasonable doubt? I don’t see any.

And Bush said some of the applications used to obtain the child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 were likely manually installed via command lines, which are more sophisticated than would be capable by the version of Duggar (homeschooled, with no college degree) described by the defense.

Josh Duggar's experience with p2p, partitioning, etc... spans over a decade. He's not new to this game, and even if he was, he'd be able to google what command lines he needed. It's not that difficult, even for a newbie, which again, he is not.

But she couldn't know definitively, she said, as she discovered no log of the commands used on the Linux side of the computer. "The lack of that file certainly jumped out at me," she said.

Maybe Josh deleted the logs? Lost data recovery maybe?

...(On the other hand, says the prosecution, Duggar had used an anonymous browser and various 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 programs on those electronics — similar software as was used on his office desktop.)

Ok, so let's say this theory about an anonymous hacker that targeted Josh specifically is true, why did Josh install p2p on 3 devices including his phone too? Why did he need file sharing software? What was he sharing? Was the Covenant Eyes program on his phone and laptop? Can you partition a cell phone?

In fact, she testified, she had only not been able to rule out remote access — but "the evidence leads me to believe that's a very viable possibility."

So how did this remote hacker know when Josh would be at the lot and not any of the other employees? Was it the remote hacker who failed to submit the hourly payroll of the days in question? Josh already publicly confessed to sexually assaulting children in the past and a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 addiction and cheating on his wife, so why would a hacker need to frame him, when he's already destroyed his own character and reputation?

Bush said on the stand that she just didn't know.

What does this 'expert' know?

So much is making sense to me now. James’ huge smile and thumbs up as he exited the court room. Anna Duggar’s steadfast support of Josh throughout the trial thus far.

IMO, they believe and/or are trying to push the narrative that Josh Duggar was framed as a satanic attack on a pious, religious, Christian family.

There is a theological concept called a “cosmic war” which underlies a lot of religiously-based violence in the world. It is a concept that affected Timothy McVeigh, for example. It’s the belief that there is a battle occurring between good and evil that believers must engage in and fight, defending against evil.

Cosmic War | Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Religion

This is something that fundamentalist Christians often cite in the context of political scandals and personal failures- such as a husband cheating: That the devil has a direct hand in trying to make the righteous fall or be undermined.

I believe they’ve told themselves that Josh’s earlier conduct, as well as the subsequent Ashley Madison stuff was a result of the devil working hard to take down a righteous family.

Now after reading this, I believe they have convinced themselves that as part of that plan, satan has employed hackers and government officials to frame Josh for something he did not do, in an effort to end their show, ruin their reputation and thus destroy their influence in witnessing and converting the world.

Are any of you reading The Sun's live updates on the cross-examination? It is absolutely brutal, and the defense "expert" looks like a complete moron.

Wow! Can you link?

Do you have any predictions on how well the defense is doing? Like if the jury will buy it?

Josh Duggar's trial is set to resume at 8:30 a.m. today. The prosecution will cross-examine Michele Bush, a digital forensics expert that the defense called as their first witness. Bush contradicted some statements made by James Fottrell, a prosecution expert witness.

There's a brief morning recess in the Josh Duggar trial. Defense expert witness Michele Bush has been cross-examined by the government for 90 minutes. They have been chipping away at her credibility. She has never taken a Linux-specific course.

Bush also embellished her experience in yesterday's testimony, including time as a college undergrad in her years of forensic examination experience. Bush graduated from the University of Arizona in 2015. Jim Bob Duggar is in attendance in the gallery.

Lunch recess until 1:20 in the Josh Duggar trial. Defense expert witness Michele Bush continues to testify.

I have not read enough about the defense’s case to say how they’re doing but the fed’s case was super solid and damning. It would have to be something monumental, IMO, to put a chink in their case.

This trial is going fast. So I have no worries about a casey anthony-style verdict by an exhausted and fed up, punitively sequestered jury.

My prediction at this moment is a relatively easy guilty verdict.

How very convenient that the router that could have proved unauthorized devices/remote hacking is nowhere to be found. My guess is the defense knew the router contained no such exculpatory evidence and that is why they did not introduce it to evidence. If the router contained clear evidence of unauthorized use/hacking they would have produced it immediately. Shady, shady.

But this still begs the question.....
If someone wanted to frame Josh, they wouldn't have buried the deed deep in his computer. They would have made it obvious. Because framing someone doesn't work unless it's visible.
In this case, the bad deeds were only visible because the Feds went digging, and the data showed up in their regular course of business.

How can you frame someone if you hide what you're trying to frame them with?

The remote hacker defense also fails on other points:

1. The hacker had to know the router/WIFI password.
2. The hacker had to know the username/password to the linux partition.
3. The hacker had to be close enough to verify Josh was at the dealership and at the computer, placing Josh there on all those dates and times.
4. Josh, sitting at the computer, would have had to be oblivious to his desktop computer restarting, manually booting to the Linux partition, TOR opening, Bit 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 opening, files downloading, files being viewed, video audio, etc. On at least a half a dozen occasions.

Please. I hope at least one of those jurors is tech savvy enough to explain this to the others.

someone local to me who I know through acquaintances was charged for something similar and he used the exact same excuse. Said he bought the computer and it was already installed behind the wall etc etc.

I think they have a whole playbook they share online full of their excuses and they think they are so clever. It catches up with them.

Just before 3 p.m. Tuesday, the defense rested their case. The prosecution is presenting counter-evidence at this time.
