They never do. To this day they minimize his molestation of his sisters and flat out lie about what they know happened. And their statements show it’s likely they believe he’s innocent of his conviction.
Agree and disagree. As Bobye pointed out, you don’t forget information like Josh’s “confessions.” (Or possible ignored requests for help?)
But Jim Bob doesn’t recall. After the conviction, he called it a situation. He claimed to respect the legal process, but not enough to testify credibly. And he wants to legislate?
In his campaign materials he says opponents say he shouldn’t run just because his family has faced problems. True. Having more kids than you can supervise, feed or provide medical care is a problem, and the government could have helped you.
Blaming and gaslighting your daughters, and possibly ignoring your son’s cries for help, is hardly “facing problems.” It is running away from problems is a very harmful way.
I don’t think Jim Bob thinks his son is innocent, because he probably would have asserted that he believes his son is innocent and he is glad he is appealing, rather than calling his son’s conviction a “situation” or claim that his family has “faced problems.”
PS: @CharlestonGal , who pointed out the word “situation” first,
Do they really say “Oy,” in Charleston? Are you sure it’s not “”Oy, y’all?”
