I think he blurted out the question without thinking because he felt guilty.

He knew he had downloaded the illegal files and knew that was likely why he was being raided. So he let that question slip out.

Shows guilt for sure.

If the FBI was raiding my place it wouldn't occur to me to ask if it was about child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 because I wouldn't even be thinking of it.

Why think of it?

Because he downloaded it.

Agreed. That nailed it. If agents came swooping into our house, I would ask why they were here...not ask if they were looking for someone who checks into various ways to hide a body...(WS, not good for web browsing history).

Josh is probably gonna be allowed to wear shorts in federal prison.
Advantage to having a large family. Someone will always be willing to send you an inmate care package, reading materials from Amazon and put money in your commissary account.

Also he won't be short on visitors and family taking his phone calls.

I'm curious of what level his placement will be. I believe he missed out on the club fed classification. My guess is medium security.

Jared looks like he isn't having too bad of a time....I can't believe the NY Post did not crop his attire in this pic. Ewww...yuck....

‘Subway’ Jared Fogle speaks from prison: ‘I royally screwed up’

Jared continues to focus on himself. And is in denial about his incarnation, as evidenced by his continued filing for appeals, to reduce his sentence.

The last sentence in the article merits analysis:

"I very much look forward to re-starting my life and enjoying every moment with my family who have stood by and supported me,” Fogle wrote. “I’m so lucky to have them.”

Fogle's "victimhood" status. He completely discounts the fact that his wife divorced him, due to his criminal actions. Who would "support" this criminal? Probably his mother and father. Typical. Not unlike JB Duggar who was still trying to minimize Josh's behavior in open court.

And, not one mention about feeling guilt or remorse for his actions in this article. Just "poor me, I am in prison.".

I have no doubt Josh Duggar blames every one but himself for where he is.

Child sexual abuse criminals are the worst. Rehabilitation is practically impossible with this crowd.

And the first sentence:

“Pervy pitchman Jared Fogle feels remorse for all the damage he has done — to his career” His career?!

I don’t know that I would have used the word “screwed” in my apology statement if I were him.

Can we refer to him as Subway Jared? I mean, we're in the Josh Duggar thread and as soon as I see 'Jared' I immediately think, oh, did another Jim Bob son get arrested? It takes a minute to reorient my aging brain! ...these two need to be cellmates.

IMO all the family are getting tarred with one feather. These are all individuals. Some played a role in what has transpired over the years, some have not. Some have been victims in it all.

Perpetrators can be victims, and vice-versa. In real life, good guys are not only good, and bad guys are not only bad.

I think Josh has been severely neglected in his childhood- physical and humiliating punishments, no proper mental health treatment, damagingly made into the golden boy and “governor.” Awful things have happened to him.

Still, I wish the tabloids were right that he faced 40 years, rather than 20.

His parents should face consequences for their severe neglect. But that does not mean that Josh should not face consequences for his horrifically sick and injurious crimes.

“The defense noted that the trial transcripts ‘are necessary with respect to certain issues Duggar intends to raise in his post-trial motions.’ The transcripts are not yet complete, and the court reporter stated that they are expected to be finished next week.”
Josh Duggar granted extension to file post-trial motions

Defense is correct - transcripts of the trial are needed. Motion for extension unopposed.

Jailed Josh Duggar & wife Anna have made over 100 calls to each other

The Sun has been provided Josh’s video and call logs exclusively by The SoJo Files podcast.

In the video log, Anna, 33, made 39 calls to her husband from December 12, 2021 to January 2, 2022.

She reached him on Christmas Eve five times in calls lasting around 47 minutes total.

Anna, who shares seven children with Josh, made two calls on Christmas Day totaling around 27 minutes.

She called him three times on New Year’s Eve for about 20 minutes and three times on New Year’s Day for over 40 minutes.

Mom Michelle video chatted with him on January 2, 2022 for nearly six minutes.

As for phone calls, inmates can only make outgoing collect calls and cannot receive incoming ones, according to Washington County Jail.

The Sun confirmed the phone numbers listed through public records. They were also confirmed by The SoJo Files.

Josh made 64 calls to Anna from December 10, 2021 to December 30, 2021, as some of the calls failed.

He successfully called dad Jim Bob twice on December 26 and once on December 29.

He spoke to his mom Michelle on December 14 for almost four minutes.

Josh also had three successful calls with Michelle on December 21, one on December 22 and another on December 25.

Josh called brother Jed twice before he picked up on the third try.

They talked for over 16 minutes on December 21.

Other calls include to his younger brother Justin’s in-laws Robert and Hilary Spivey, family member David Waller and his lawyer Travis Story.

SISTER DRAMA
Josh received no video calls and made no attempts to reach out to adult sisters Jana, Jill, Jessa, Jinger and Joy-Anna.

He currently appears on the outs from some of his sisters.

Josh Duggar’s friend & child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 trial witness to tell all on podcast

Clint shut down Josh’s legal team’s theory that he isn’t technically savvy enough to access the dark web to download and view child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 when he took the stand during the nearly two-week trial.

While on the stand for prosecution, Clint called Josh “more advanced than an average user” and said he was “comfortable” installing his own programs, as he was known as the “tech guy” in his family.

During the trial, prosecution was able to prove Josh was at the car lot when child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 was downloaded through texts, photos and GPS tracking.

But Michele Bush, the defense’s forensics expert, presented the possibility of remote access in an attempt to exonerate Josh.

Anna Duggar Is ‘Not Certain’ About ‘Future’ With Josh After Conviction

19 Kids and Counting alum Anna Duggar (née Keller) is “still not certain about her future” with husband Josh Duggar following his child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 conviction, an insider exclusively tells In Touch. “She’s doing everything she possibly can to make sense of this living nightmare.”

While the former TLC star, 33, “still loves” the disgraced reality TV personality, 33, that doesn’t mean things haven’t drastically changed for her since his guilty verdict in December.

“His actions have forced her to look at him as a fallen man who lost his way,” explains the insider, adding that the mom of seven “stood by” Josh until “the bitter end.”

Anna has been “praying” for Josh as he awaits his sentencing trial, which has not yet been scheduled, says the insider, adding, “She’s leaning on her faith and is certain that it will work out the way it’s supposed to.”

The Duggar family is rallying around Anna, despite many of them “laying low” amid the scandal.

“Josh’s troubles may have splintered the family into taking sides,” the insider confesses. “But there’s one person who the majority of them continue to support — that’s Anna.”

However, the social media influencer is “taking time away” from her extended family, which is most likely why she was not seen in videos of their recent events for Christmas and New Year’s Eve. It still remains unclear how Anna spent the holidays while Josh sat in jail.

“She does talk to Michelle and some of her sisters-in-laws,” notes the insider. “She’s been spending more time with her family.”

How was Anna able to call in if inmates can’t receive calls?

Josh calls her. Inmates always instigate their phone calls. It used to always be inmates calling collect but now many have special jail/prison phone plans.

Right, regular phone calls can only be made by the prisoner, while video calls are different; they're made by both parties, as stated in the Sun article (As for phone calls, inmates can only make outgoing collect calls and cannot receive incoming ones, according to Washington County Jail.) and SoJo Files. Video calls are taking the place of many in person visits too, according to Prison Legal News (2018).

The Washington County Detention Center, where Josh is currently being held, refers to it as Remote Video Visitation. ...so video communication is a 'visit' rather than a 'call.'

Is the spouse of an inmate entitled to any kind of welfare funds?

More complicated than just that.

Anna may qualify for income-based public assistance for herself &/or her children. Including SNAP benefits/Food Stamps, WIC (food assistance for pregnant & nursing mothers & children up to age 5,) state-contracted medical insurance for children, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, subsidized rent, some other programs.

Also financial support for job training, and child care so the parent can train & work.

She must apply....

IIRC, there are multiple properties in her name. Income is considered, assets are part of the public assistance qualifying process as well. Nothing based on an incarcerated spouse AFAIK.

Programs for Children & Families - Arkansas Department of Human Services

IMHO, JimBob and Michelle with provide what their grandchildren need.

You’re right. I completely forgot about how various properties are titled. Blame it on the omicron currently in our home. I’m sure Jim Bob wouldn’t want anyone looking too closely as she’s decently well-to-do on paper. JMO.

@Cool Cats in your #730 post in paragraph #4 it says Anna made 2 calls to him on Christmas day totaling 27 minutes. The paragraph following also said she called him. That’s where my question originated from. Am I confusing it?

Not sure if I'm answering your question, but people are allowed to video call inmates; it's considered remote visiting. This is why Anna is video logged as having called Josh so many times. She is not allowed, however, to make phone calls to him; he has to call her.
