...Saulteaux was worried for his safety that Monday night.

“After his lottery win, people started to come around him and I think he just hung around the wrong people and on the night he went missing, he went into my mom’s home and said, ‘They’re coming for me,’ and he hid his phone with all his banking information in the house,” said Morin.

...Saulteaux is described as 190 lbs., 5’10, with brown eyes and brown hair.

If anyone knows where Joshua Francis Saulteaux is, you are asked to contact Goodfish Lake RCMP at 1-780-645-8888 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

...RCMP Cpl. Mathew Howell says the RCMP and partners have done extensive searches in the remote community by air and ground.

And the investigation, led by major crimes, is ongoing. They have done some polygraphs, seized property and are waiting on some forensic testing, too.

At this point, they have nothing to indicate foul play and nothing to rule it out either, he says.

“I understand the frustration. This investigation is important, and it is still open, and we are still actively looking for this young man, and we are still following up on any tips or leads we get,” Howell says. “We’ve interviewed over 60 different people and done an extensive investigation.”

I always wonder why those who win, make it known.

In my state, they heavily encourage winners not to, for this very reason. They've even quit doing the "hand the winner a giant cardboard check and do a little PR thing" spots.

How is one case related to the other?
"Joshua Saulteaux, Martin Dubitski and the youth were arrested and charged in early 2023...
...All five accused were charged with two counts first-degree murder.
Dubitski and Saulteaux pleaded guilty earlier this month to accessory to murder charges and were sentenced to three years and two years in prison, respectively..."

He may have been released from prison for accessory to murder? The guilty plea was Nov 2024 but he went missing in May 2025 after being sentenced to 2 years? I don't know how it adds up but
it was a case where out of all the people arrested, they never figured out exactly who committed the two homicides.

Pretty sure that is him. Said his mother was also arrested and charged. I found an obituary for one uncle that lists his mother as a sister and a brother by the same name as the uncle mentioned in the missing articles
