Jr's custody issue arising from Ron's arrest

Full custody of Jr to Crystal? Please, she didn't even want him or take care of him before. Why advocate so heavily in giving custody of a child to a parent who couldn't even bother to get out of bed to take her children to doctor's appts not to mention wouldn't even bother to pay their court-ordered child support until she was made to do so. JMO but had Haleigh not went missing, Crystal wouldn't have been front and center in either of those children's lives.

Maybe Crystal's family can pitch in with the little ones. I think R Jr would be better off out of Putnam, and maybe his mom's family is eager for him to come home to them. Surely they wouldn't turn their backs on this child, or Crystal either.

IMHO, I think that Miss Nancy owes Crystal Sheffield, Marie Griffis & their whole family a HUGE public apology. She treated Crystal like a criminal and acted like Ron & Misty were angels.

I believe Jr. has been in grave danger living with drug dealers! One deal gone bad and he could have disappeared just like his sister. Or, get caught in the crossfire of a gun battle.

Wonder why TN thinks a judge should give GGMS custody of Jr.? As I see it, Crystal is the non-custodial parent and the court has granted her visitation rights..And to my knowledge her visitation rights aren't subject to any court ordered supervision..
Neither TN or GGMS should be awarded custody of Jr... IMHO, GGMS has failed miserably when it comes to raising her children as well as her children's children she has had dumped on her to help raise..
Also, WHY doesn't TN offer to step up to the plate for Jr.? After all he is her grandson.. IMHO, TN, like her son, is very selfish and uncaring to expect an aging parent to take on the responsibility of raising yet another child that does not belong to her..
IMHO TN and RON C have both proven they have shirked their responsiblity when it comes to raising their own chidlren... JMO

I agree 100 percent with your post Emeralgem. In my opinion no one in Ron's family should have custody of Butterbean. You site all the reasons and I'm hoping there's a judge wise enough to see the Cummings, all of them, as a poor choice for parenting after Ron's arrest last night. I've got my fingers crossed. jmo

What I'd like to know is, which family members knew about the drug trafficking and what they did about it. For the time being, everybody who did and didn't report Ron to DCF is a bit suspect as a caregiver IMO.

I agree, but somehow, I just don't see anyone who had any knowledge actually volunteering that they had said knowledge about the drug trafficking. KWIM?

passion, do you think Nancy will cover these arrests tonight? She's been glued to the baby Gaberial case for what seems like forever.
I would love to see TN on their defending her little Ronnie and how this drug sting was unlawful. But, I have strong doubts she will agree to be on Nancy's show tonight, since Nancy last called her son a liar. Does anyone think TN will appear?

Great post Glassgirl. As I said before I don't think this group of characters would ever volunteer anything to the cops. If anything, because of their backgrounds, I think they do all they can to stay away from LE. jmo

IMO, Crystal should be given full custody of JR. SHE is not the one in jail at the time for felony trafficing.

Remember, not so long ago, there was that "road rage" incident etc., etc, of which, there were two children in the vehicle.

Some may feel that the grandmas are a better fit for Jr. He is used to living with them, for example. I would think the LAW requires Jr. to be with his mom. We haven't heard what Crystal is doing about all of this yet.

Whatever happens, we will not be allowing anyone to diminish another poster's opinions of this subject. If you have facts contradicting their opinion, feel free to post them in generic form. Thanks!

I'm wondering where the drugs were being house'd. We may end up seeing GGM being carted away if they find additional drugs in her home. Then she definitedly would not get custody..

I have not heard anything yet. Marie has her mood on MS as "Blessed" for today and Crystal has hers as "Confident". But nothing posted in their bloggs except for prayers and invites to church vigils. I wish we would hear something soon. I really fear for Jr. staying with GGMS, what if whom ever Ron was working under..or with....wants to get back at him? JR. really needs to be taken as far away from that town as possible.
