Jr's custody issue arising from Ron's arrest

For those who might say CS never fought for her children...wrong. Read the records...she sure did.

For those that might say CS was lazy and didn't want to get out of bed...consider depression or postnatal blues.

Stop to think what it would be like when the children lived with ron, as far as CS goes? He warned her to stay away. He would not let her talk on the phone with her. AND I am willing to bet that CS knew if she did anything drastic he may be crazy enough to kill her and/or the kids. Without money, it is almost impossible to get custody once it has been given. RC took physical custody of the children under false circumstances and then proceded to the court room (with his ma and gma) and filed. Since he already had custody, it was an easy victory. When CS went to the courts to file for custody, RC beat her to it.

You can bet your Bippy Sykes and Neves are/were behind this. RC was in NO position to ever be raising a six month old baby and a toddler with disabilities.

As far as condemmning CS for not paying child support. I don't. To tell it llike it is...I would not have given him a penny either. TN and Sykes were giving all their money, paying for attorneys and overindulging the children with nonsense gifts and clothes. Why should CS contribute to rc so he could buy more drugs? Yes, I know...it is the law, blah, blah blah. To a nintenn yr. old young mother, they are not wordly. I am giving and have given her a break.

I can understand your concerns BUT with that said Boots, there are (or should be IMO) even more concerns with Jr. being in Ronald's custody/care. IMO, if someone isn't (or hasn't been over the past 11 + months) concerned, than someone (not necessarily you) should seriously reevaluate what their concerns with Crystal are REALLY about. I do feel that there needs to be some support mechanisms in place for Crystal. I'm far more confident that there will at least be more transparency in the happenings at Crystal's household than there are (or have been) at Ronald's or GGS's household... JMHO -

It would not be accurate to imply that I haven't been concerned for the last 11+ months. I don't post often (been working on 300 for over a year now HA) - but, I assure you that I have read the details of this case from the beginning and am quite familiar with all the players.

I have made a choice to not participate in the choosing of sides here - because, honestly, I have extreme reservations about all of these folks, their lifestyles, drug use, and lack of attention to their children's well-being. Now,
I will re-think my position on all of them when they (the players) give me a good reason to do so.

You raise a good point...Jr. will suffer regardless. As a victim of child abuse/sexual abuse...I still love my father, as sick as that sounds. Part of me still loves him.

Jr.loves his father and mother and in his little head he doesn't know what the heck is going on, except that he misses his sister and now his father will be out of his life. I have been praying for months that Haleigh would be found and CS got her self straight for these children that need her. I fear for Jr.'s safety and the emotional shock he is about to encounter, it seems nobody in DCF has taken this case seriously. I feel strongly that if DCF would of done their job a long time ago Haleigh would not be missing. But that is JMO. I know the main fault falls back on Ron for leaving Haleigh in Misty's care, then Misty and whom ever took her.

:hug: That doesn't make you sick at all MADJGNLAW. As an abuse/incest survivor I can understand and relate to you wholeheartedly. I can also say, now being an adult & many years later, in retrospect, I wish that DCF had intervened even if that meant placing my siblings and I elsewhere - at least we would have had a chance. But it's a decision that cannot be based upon the child's expression of love toward the parent/perpertrator, despite the abuse.
As painful as it is to remove a child from an abusive home/parent, we have to keep in mind that the child's love for that parent/abuser - no matter how horrific the abuse may be/have been that they endured - that love will supercede everything, even what would be/is best (safer) for them. If the decision were left to the child, the child will choose, hands down, to stay with the abusive parent and continue enduring the abuse in order to preserve the parental/child relationship. In other words, the child will opt to sacrifice their own self physically, emotionally, and sexually, to hold onto the love of that parent. As difficult (and sad) as it may be, making the child the number one priority, which is protecting that child and "giving them a chance", the decision has to be made by reasonable, responsible, and trained adults outside of the family dynamics. JMHO -

You're absolutely right and that's exactly why I included, in parentheses, "not necessarily you" in my post. Although I began my post by acknowledging your personal concerns about Crystal getting full custody, from there on I was actually generically addressing all readers who may share similar concerns in a "if the shoe doesn't fit, don't wear it" sort of way. I'm sorry if you took it as an implication - next time I'll highlight, bold, and/or CAP any added clarifications that I make in perentheses.

Not sure if I can post this..mod's move as needed. I am trying to learn how to tweet to see what I can find, and came across a twt from the Cummings followers that said. Not happy just thrilled Jr isn't around drug activity any longer..Well till he gets to CS anyway.

Boots..I don't know if I was responding to your post or not. I had read the thoughts on CS somewhere recently, though. I jumped the gun here because I saw CS's name.

Please keep posting. I am ultra sensitive to the custody matters because of working knowlege I have.

I certainly was not directing at you but at the postings of many who share the thinking of CS being a very bad mother and not caring. All who post and state she is. is certainly entitled to think and feel the way they do and not feel intimidated.

I am sorry if you did feel that way. Please continue to share your thoughts here on WS.

I wish there was an article by the "local" media about what AH is reporting regarding a "comment" he made to a poster regarding the custody hearing. What he is stating we can't seem to back up at the moment by local media.

ME too.........I think she knows allot also about what happened to Haleigh and the lifestyle of Ron and Misty. IMO, I blame some of this on her for the COBRA thing, cover up, oh so many things..........lies.........

I don't think his mom is much better. Courts don't take kids from their mom's lightly. There was a reason she lost custody.

I don't think Jr. should be placed with his mother until she tests negative for all drugs for at least 3 months and then is tested regularly after that for up to a year.
