I've no idea what went on at court but I assume it's just a rumor. People who attack other people in court would tend to get arrested, wouldn't they?

We don't post rumors and there is no rumor thread anymore.

If you have a link to a report from the media indicating that this happened, please post the link.

One would think, unless it was done outside of the courthouse. Nevermind, was just curious if anyone here had heard this. I'll delete my question now, but thanks for responding:)

How long has Crystal been clean?

I remember when Ron said that HE was the better parent and HE deserved to have the children and that HE did not do drugs.

my my how the tables have turned......

This is a Soap Opera of Epic proportions.

All of the nice sentiments about Crystal regaining custody don't seem quite right to me. The poor child has a missing sister, a father looking at over 20 years in prison for drug trafficking, and a mother who is an addict and doesn't appear to be getting treatment. Even with all the best intentions in the world, addicts have great difficulty staying clean and sober, and addicts make TERRIBLE parents--just as drug dealers do. In this case, Crystal wins by default, but if she doesn't stay clean, she could be looking at CPS (or whatever Florida calls child welfare services) taking custody.

Long time no-see, pitts.

Got any thoughts on the other current developments? tia

I agree. I also think this is the best incentive she has to stay clean. I really really hope and pray she can do it.

I hope to God the Judge orders constant monitoring of this new home life of Jr's with his mom. The whole Cummings bunch should be barred from seeing Jr.
One toe out of line by Crystal and Jr. should be taken away.

IMO, I don't think that DCF or the judge would have handed Ron Jr. over to his mother if there was even a "hint" of his mother being a drug addict.

If there is proof out there indicating that Crystal is a drug addict, kindly post a link.

I've learned that in an emergency placement case such at this a thorough investigation of the home is often overlooked. Down the line there may be.

Didn't they investigate last year when they were in court about the custody arrangements?

I assume they did, however that was last year and look what's transpired since then.

I hate to be argumentative, but our foster care system [in general] is not the place for this child. jmo.

I dunno about the Cummings, but definitely, positively, the Stall-Squir-Syk group should have supervised visitation only, at least for now.

wha...? Has Crystal or her family had some terribly immoral goings-on since August?

That's what I was wondering LFlorida! I assume that we would know had Crystal been arrested for anything OR had the police been called to her house.

Even with emergency placement DCF (or whatever it's called in Florida) knows how closely this case is being watched and I can't imagine them screwing this up now.

Regardless, unless someone is privy to info that the rest of us are not, afaik nobody knows for sure that Crystal has not done what she needed to do in the last 6 mths or so to get herself together. As I said in an earlier post actually directed @ Crystal should she read here, sad as it is, there are people just waiting for her to fail, what does that say about us as a society? MOO.....

I hope it all works out for little RJ and that Crystal isn't using drugs anymore but as you said....drugs are a demon to beat. A person really needs to go into treatment so that they have all of the tools that they need at their disposal to use. I hope she attends meetings too. They are really helpful. It's really hard to get clean and stay clean with no professional help.

My hope is that someone was appointed to check on this household often for at least a year. I don't mean visit by appointment but drop in quite often. The last thing this little boy needs is to be moved from one drug invironment to another. Someone needs to make certain that Crystal isn't doing drugs anymore.

Does Crystal's boyfriend/stepbrother have custody of his kids too? Seems like he did have and that was why he couldn't stay with her when Haleigh came up missing.

Hopefully Crystal is very thankful for this second chance with her little boy. I hope he is first and formost in her prioritys as far as giving him a safe secure invironment with lots of love.

I don't think Ron will be the least bit surprised that he lost custody. What else could he expect? He made a choice between his son and dealing drugs and he made a bad one. His own fault.
