Judge sets rules for behavior at Casey Anthony trial

I can hardly believe the trial is finally here.
I think it is funny that the judge has to give adults “Rules of Behavior" :floorlaugh:

Apparently these adults are not your usual humans that know how to behave. lol.

I can hear Cindy as if she was right here jumping around and screaming.
"NOBODY is telling me what I can or cannot do!!!" "I will do whatever I darn please in or out of court"
"this is a fee country" "and..I am bringing a case of "F" ing Gum.!!!"

:floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:

OK… ROUND 10 for Circus material coming up this Monday.

Okay, don't you want to know what brand/flavor of gum Cindy will be chewing in court?

I hope courtroom and decorum is upheld and that GA and CA have to abide by the rules just as everyone else in the courtroom does.

I do hope JB realizes this applies to him as well.(I think it does) He has the most arrogant smirks that I believe will grate on the jurors nerves.

CM is no slouch when it comes to looking amused, shaking his head and rolling his eyes. While I respect the Judge, he seems to talk the talk but not walk the walk when it comes to follow through on 'the rules.'

(new poster, haven't figured out some of the mechanics of posting yet!)

Even the behavior in the courtroom can cause reason for a new trial.

Building on you post legalmania....

I have no doubt that HHJP will enforce the courtroom decorum as outlined. However, I do believe that he will allow a bit of leeway to a certain degree, and that he will not call out every little deviation from decorum for all to hear.

In the recent case of Gary Michael Hilton, his defense attorney requested a mistrial after she was admonished for some of her courtroom behavior.

Snip...Later during the medical examiner's testimony, Hankinson snapped at Suber to "be quiet and sit down" after she repeatedly interrupted Chief Assistant State Attorney Georgia Cappleman's questioning of Clark.

After jurors left the courtroom, Suber asked for a mistrial, contending Hankinson's admonishment could have prejudiced the jury against Hilton. The judge also denied that request.

"I told you to sit down and be quiet because you persisted," he told Suber. "That was unprofessional."

HHJP understands that certain things can prejudice a juror. Should the Anthony's or any of the attorney's "break from" courtroom decorum, I suspect that HHJP will wait to admonish them AFTER the jury has left the room.

In the Hilton case, the Judge was careful to explain the reason for the admonishment in order to preserve the record.

I have no doubt the HHJP will do the same. So........ while some people may be outraged to glimpse the A's chomping gum, the SA sighing or JB rolling his eyes.....I doubt HHJP will make an issue of it at the moment (only giving it more attention). In fact, I suspect that we won't see much admonishment as that will likely be done in private in order to avoid prejudice.

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh: BUT BUT BUT This is Cindy, George, Casey :innocent:
I doubt they understand, based on History; that they are just over the top, and misguided.

They understand, all right; They just don't care.

When CA has something to say, whatever you, or you, or he, or I have to say is secondary and irrelevant and she will talk over us until she makes her point-see her interview with Det. Melich. Or better yet, watch the LarryKingLive interview where the diary is mentioned and note as CA figuratively bursts the tires on BC's wheelchair so she can race past him with her "truth." This is simply, to me, a womam that grew up feeling powerless, has felt powerless and out of control in her marriage and now feels powerless in this, struggling to overcompensate for all of the control she feels cheated out of. (Note I wrote she "feels" this way, she really isn't powerless in her life as none of us ultimately are). She enjoys martyr status and it makes her feel protected to say and do as she pleases.

GA is the tricky little devil...he knows how to contain himself and he has chosen not to. With George, it is a purposeful effort to send out the signal that if they try to make him say KC killed Caylee, he will absolutely burst.

We've all done it before, haven't we? Gotten all worked up about an impending confrontation, and at the end of the day, the confrontation was not confrontational after all and we feel sort of badly for gearing ourselves up to begin with? GA has no hindsight, no wisdom, no foresight, no patience or grace....all things a man his age should know well by now. There's not going to be a confrontation, but he's lookin for one.

I do not think they know how to be any other way. They are what you see.

As for GA I remember when he was first talking to the police and he was so believable. CON MAN is all he is.
It is said that to circumvent the law you have to know it. He was a cop he had to pass some tests HE DOES know it.
Con men do know how to circumvent it. that would include all his stunts. Including the suicide act. He is a snake.
Cindy is highly reactive maybe even imbalanced. I do not expect them to act any other way at the trial.
What we have seen is all there is available from them.
