Ugh this guy (defendant)

Kisses in case he gets in an accident and DIES??? Why were they so focused on him dying???

Ross wasn't doing anything during driving. No phone, no computer, no distractions.

he parked at HD, and pulls past the space. THEN BACKS UP!! Then pulls forward in between 2 cars.

I turn my head when I back up!??

He didn't immediately get out of car. He told them bag was in front of passenger seat. He would have seen Coopers at seat right there.

mannequin used- head cleary visible over car seat. :(

Day care workers at Little Apron says Cooper is always wide awake and not sleepy when dropped off at that time.

NO backing camera in vehicle. To back up, he would have to use rear view mirror and both side mirrors.

When Ross parked at work, he did not immediately get out.

Large computer bag for work was in passenger seat, had to lean over to the right and he would have seen the car seat AGAIN

Cooper's head according to his size would have poked up OVER THE CAR SEAT

So many opportunities to see Cooper from CF to office.

Manikin was shorter and the head was poling OVER the car seat.

  • #190
They used a mannequin, shorter than cooper. Head was clearly above seat.

Just a car seat comment, Just because a child is the same size as another it does not mean their torso's are the same. That is the length that matters on how much of the child would be showing at the top.

Gosh this is just so sad :(

  • #194
No backup camera in car! That answers a question we had been discussing

He saw that baby - no way in Hades he did not see that baby reaching to the right, when Cooper was in the middle and taller than the car seat. Unreal that he would subject his child to such torture. :( :( :(

Exceeded requirements for car seat by several inches.

  • #197
LE used mannequin cooper sized, head clearly visible over the top of the carseat. Ross needed to lean to the right to the passenger seat to get his computer bag, then sits 30 seconds in the car before he gets out of the car to go into the building.

Cooper exceeded the requirements of the car seat by several inches.

photos show proximity of R and C in that car.

It takes 30 to 40 seconds to reach that light where turn is needed.

R states he must have fell asleep.

Daycare personnel describe C behavior after CFA visits as active, alert awake.

Distance from light where he should have turned to his workplace - 2 minutes or less.

R described no distractions when asked specifically. He pulls past the space, the reverses between two cars between him and pulls forward again. To the left is another car. To right is grassy area, no other car.

R would have needed to use rear view and side mirrors to perform this manuever.

Did he take anything in to office? Large computer bag in right passenger side of car. WOuld need to turn right and see C carseat in order to retrieve it.

Mannequin same size (slightly smaller) as C but was clearly visible in carseat during reenactments.

Was in vehicle 30 seconds before exiting.

Owners manual of carseat: C exceeded the requirements of that Carseat by several inches.

Two friends picked up R for lunch.
