Kanye West ruins another acceptance speech

What really impressed me was that when Beyonce won the best video of the year award, she said that she remembered how special it was when she was 17 and nominated with Destiny's Child. She invited Taylor to come out and have "her moment". Taylor came out and gave the speech she began before Kanye's interruption. Sidenote, Kanye was asked to leave the event and told he would not be permitted back in the arena. He went home and watched the rest of the show on his TV, kickin back with his android girlfriend. Kanye does what he does best. Create controversy. BTW, did you all know he is on Jay Leno's first show TONIGHT??? You know he did it for the attention. Sadly, in the "industry" any attention is good attention. Until we stop rewarding the behavior, it won't stop.

I hope Jay Leno wisens up and cancels his appearance.

The sad fact is that many people will tune in to hear what he says next.
MTV will continue to invite him to award shows, as will the rest of the industry. MTV can't buy this kind of coverage, people will tune in to rebroadcasts of the show and login into their website to see the comments.

I can't stand Kanye personally and I while I do think he is talented his persona makes his music intolerable to me.

Does anybody remember what he did at the Katrina benefit?

I'm from Louisiana, about an hour from New Orleans so I was watching this benefit, feeling a lot of emotion for all the people Katrina effected.

I thought it was great that so many celebrities came forward and did a telethon kinda thing to raise money. It was not long after Katrina and this part of the country was really suffering.

It was a beautiful thing....until.....Kanye!

He was with Mike Myers talking about the issue and asking for donations...etc.
Then, all of a sudden he shouts out "George Bush does not care about black people!!!"
Mike Myers looked mortified.

It was horrible. Not the time or place for that crap.

I didn't see it but it was expected. He is such an azz and ego. I can't stand him and also hope Jay cancels him.....I am sick of his antics and maybe they will ( alll shows) wise up soon and not have him as a guest anywhere.

Here's the deal: it (Single Ladies) will never be and was never the best video ever made. Beyonce's video is not even original... it's a Bob Fosse inspired step-out... it is a throw-back to a video choreographed by Bob's wife, called Mexican Breakfast. Youtube it... as a matter of fact you can find loads of mashups of both videos.

Kanye's a tool... I don't get why people call him a music genius. Heck, it took an American Idol amateur retooling his song, "Heartless", to make it even slightly worth listening to! I utterly can't stand the man...

I knew there was another reason I didn't like him....but forgot about this! I guess he thinks controversy is a good way to sell albums. Donald Trump said it best, Kanye "couldn't care less about Beyonce. It was grandstanding to get attention." I agree with this statement, but HELLO pot meet kettle, LOL!
