I agree Texana, I read Misty's writing on the killing of her, and she doesn't think the garotte was used for sexual stimulation but rather to kill her. It is because there was no evidence of the slip knot used in a sexual garotte. And when the killer realized she was not dead, he turned her over re-placed the string of the garotte to a lower place on her neck and then it did kill her. And of course she said JB was unconscious from the head blow administered first.

The latest revelations come as another doctor in Bangkok fielded similar questions from news media amid reports he was also working with Karr on a sex- change operation.

Dr. Thep Vechavisit, who performs sex-change surgery for $1,625, told The Post he doesn't remember Karr and wouldn't say whether he was a patient.

Vechavisit, whose storefront Pratunam Polyclinic sits in the middle of the Thai capital's garment district, said he had read the news reports that Karr was one of his patients and was seeking a sex change, but Vechavisit denied he told reporters that.

The Associated Press on Sunday reported that Vechavisit said Karr had a consultation at the clinic. An unnamed clinic staffer reportedly told the news service that Karr had talked with the doctor about sex-change surgery.

"Even if I found his record, I cannot tell you," Vechavisit said of Karr, citing doctor-patient confidentiality. "You will have to ask Mr. Karr."

Clearly it would behoove Dr. Thep Vechavisit NOT to agree he was treating Karr as it would likely cut his foreign client base.

I swear he's a homosexual....no way will I ever believe he killed JonBenet. Even if the DNA shows it's a "match" I'll never believe it wasn't the BDA lying to everyone just so they can "officially" close the case and Keenan-Lacy can be forever imortalized as the one who solved (closed) the case.

Interesting thought! I always felt that the killer was obsessed with Patsy. It never made sense to me that it was anything to do with John. John isn't charismatic enough to engender (pun intended!) obsession IMO.

A sex change is pretty drastic to avoid completing a sentence on misdemeaner charges. He would have likely only had to serve another six months if he was found guilty. Also we are talking a 5 year old misdemeaner charge. He waited 5 years to have a sex change to hide from 6 months in jail in California? Thats pretty extreme. Most men I know would do life on a chain gang before having theirs removed.

Edited to ad: There was also no manhunt going on for Karr based on skipping out on misdemeaners.

Hey, I'm sure you have seen drag queen's dressed as JB! Heck, seems to me that would be a really good calling card in clubs...especially right after the murder! Now, of course, there'll be a big revival! Hey, she was a beautiful little girl who looked like a beautiful big girl when tarted up. I remember looking at some of the "stills" and pageant pics when this whole thing first happened and remarked to myself I didn't look nearly that good when I was 20! What a crazy world!

One thing I have been struggling with regarding this thread is all the jokes poked at him regarding the "change" process..Just remember the thing about this type of person is not orientation (sexual), but they feel like they are in the wrong body. He may already be a lesbian if he was always a girl and then had a fixation with girls..but thats niether here nor there for now.

I think the jokes being made about him might feel good at the moment, but imo they show a lack of information for this process and for all the normal gender reassigned people who might be reading here. (Or who have sons and daughters, brothers and sisters who are gender reassigned).

If the jokes could be seen as only about Karr that is one thing-but what they show is an ignorance about this condition and what these people are really all about.
They are gender reassigned-end of story. They are not to be made fun of-maybe he is the target here but thats not necessarily what the rest of the world is experiencing when they tune in here.
They are seeing a whole lot of people demeaning this type of condition.

In another bizarre twist in the shadowy life of John Mark Karr, the man taken into custody in connection with the murder of 6-year-old Jon Benet Ramsey, a doctor in Bangkok tells Inside Edition he performed hair removal treatments on Karr in preparation for a sex change operation.

In an exclusive on-camera interview, the doctor, Setthakarn Atthakornpan, said Karr had four laser treatments at the Pruksa Laser Center between March and July of this year.

The doctor showed Inside Edition Karr's medical chart where he made a notation that says, Plan to (female) transformation, using the symbol for female. He planned to do sex change, said the doctor

Crazy, crazy thought. And excuse me if someone has mentioned it before, I am trying to catch back up in my reading.

We know for a fact he wanted to sex change operation. Why consult a doctor unless you are seriously thinking about actually going through with the procedures. The man, while being somewhat intelligent obviously has a few screws loose. Maybe he realized the operation and other stuff was going to be super expensive. He figured, well, I got caught. Hmm, I have all this info. Surely they can't keep me in the states forever for just the child charge. And he admits to killing Jonbenet, knowing he didn't do it. Thinking that he will be cleared and then get a book, movie, tabloid deal and tada have the money ready when he gets out of jail to get his surgery.

I know, it's crazy. But it makes as much sense as any of this circus.

I had the same thoughts and suspect that Karr's goals to change his gender go way beyond thinking that he should have been female. He's mentally not a good candidate for cosmetic surgery much less gender. Maybe he wants to be castrated and thinks that with female hormones, he won't be so aggressive towards children.

I agree.Here is you want to under go this type of procedure there is a lot of psychiatric hoop s to jump through.I am sure the U.S is the same.But in Asia it is just a cash thing. There is so much to learn about this guy ( if he did kill JBR) if he did'nt then he will probably do his time for dirty pics and fade back into obscurity. AHH, who am i kidding, of course not he will right a book and tell all. To do this he will have to be mentally reasonably competant( he could have a ghost witer). The guy is as crazy as a plane full of snakes! Maybe not, it could be an act. I think deep down inside he is a sadist. Mild on the outside and full of rage inside.Possibly gender reassignment may have calmed down his troubled soul or just made him worse.
