the inmates beat her up dear get over it now stop spamming the madeleine case

Well if you look at the amnesty 2012 report it states two courts rules she was tortured in police custody. If however you have information that it actually happened in prison then go to the PJ. But she had not been put in prison at the time of the injuries.

You think torturing women is an acceptable method of policing? Maybe we should just do away with police and hand anyone with an IQ in double figures a pitchfork and tell them to do justice as they see fit. Or we could try fortune tellers, or just look at how the person looks or talks to determine their guilt. Or we could have a police force, that obey the law and actually gather the information, question people properly, and then let the courts do their work. Rather than one which relies on feeding information or misinformation to the media, and torturing people to get confessions.

the thing is if the police had behaved better with both knox and Cipriano, they might have actually found the truth and had peopel believe it. Now there is always going to be doubt for both of them, and the families of the victims. Knox was proven not guilty of murder, yet because of the media coverage and the behaviour of the prosecutor and police, meredith Kercher's family were deluged with people saying she was guilty. Now there will always be a nagging feeling that someone got away with killing their daughter, despite the not guilty verdict. It is not fair on anyone.

After what she did to that child, she's lucky she wasn't killed by the public or someone else.
No empathy here.

Why "oh please", you have not once agreed torture is wrong, all you have said is that torture worked for Bush, and when asked about Amanda Knox all you replied was you thought she was guilty anyway.
Either one believes torture is acceptable or one does not. It cannot be that we get to pick and choose who gets a civilised justice system and who gets to be tortured. If we allow torture, why even bother having a justice system, why not just let the villagers gather their torches and pitchforks because it is no better. The police deciding to rely on torturing people to get them to confess is nothing, but barbaric laziness.

Lol

Sure let the villagers decide.

That is what you seem to be saying, do not bother with skill and intelligence, lets just torture women.

Knock off the bickering. Warnings have been posted so knock it off!

They didn't torture her.

Two courts in Portugal ruled she was tortured by the police. Amaral claimed she fell down the stairs at the police station and received an eighteen month suspended prison sentence for falsifying evidence. Look at amnesty internationals 2012 report on Portugal.

I do not think the police involved in this torture case should have been involved in Madeleine's case. Apart from anything, it means it would be difficult to get a conviction in a court if the person responsible was ever caught (and that is especially the case if it is found to be someone she knew or someone from PDL).
A defence lawyer would simply argue that the investigation was loaded from the start because the officers involved were awaiting trial for torture of the mother of another disappeared child. The defence would argue that the police would not look for an abductor properly because if they found out it was a stranger, especially one not from PDL, then it would have weakened their case against the mother, and strengthened the case against them for torture. This would have worked for all three people who have so far been made aguidos. All that is needed is reasonable doubt that evidence pointing to someone else would have been overlooked. It is not just about what people think of Amaral (but lets face it turning up in AI's report on your country is never going to be good), but what the defense will do in court. The police have to be squeaky clean otherwise they become less credible in court.

Did they actually say it was the police who tortured her? i think you will find they did not. it is common knowledge she was beaten up by inmates and who would blame them.

BTW, it was NOT Amaral who claimed she threw herself off the stairs, pls dont post lies, so steady on there, ALL he did was sign off a report from his officers that said so, he wasnt even there at the time.

lets not forgwt this child murderer even said Amaral was THERE when she was tortured. A lie amongst her many.
