Yes that is what I was asking; I will refrain from commentary at this time on the JF, as well as the pathetic state of journalism in this country. Not at all AS, you were in no way political in your post, I was referring to my use of chugging the "kool-aide".

I really have a hard time understanding any juror having "feelings" for a defendant, I'm proud to say that I find that reprehensible in light of seeking justice and truth. Trust me there are many sad, heart wrenching, "woe is me" stories that can be spun to save someone but at the end of the day there is accountability and personal responsibility when you are a part of society.

And as KCL can attest, I despise people who, under the guise of journalism, use their position and exposure to spew their agenda and further their causes bringing the on the death of truth finding and constitutional "free press" origins.

Texas is my adopted home and I am so very glad they accept me, my BF and husbands (deceased) home.

Right On !

BBM - Well, he certainly wasn't paying much attention to Jodi's pre-murder life. Nor did he pay attention to how Travis lived his life.
This is clipped from an AP article.

"You heard (prosecutor Juan) Martinez say she was only 27. ... She's old enough that she should have known better," Zervakos said. "I didn't look at it that way. I'm looking at 27 years of an absolutely normal everyday young woman that was living a life that was perfectly normal. Then something changed the trajectory of her life after meeting Travis Alexander, and it spiraled downhill from there."

This guy appears to be justifying his decision. I can not believe that he thought she was "normal" before meeting Travis. That is just so frustrating to me. He, apparently, hasn't seen any of her post verdict interviews. I would love to know how he actually feels after viewing those......if he would admit it.

Sorry....I am very frustrated. I have been unhappy all along that the jurors were not allowed to see some of the facts about JA because they were too prejudicial. IMO, a jury should see and hear ALL the facts. But I agree, this guy should have been paying more attention.

It is so obvious to me that Travis' last letter(s) when he called her a sociopath and other names was because she had been gaslighting him and making him feel crazy. He finally told her "enough". Her behaviour was causing an intentional mindf***. Who would not eventually lose their temper. Ugh. It is all devastating.

NO sleuthing of the jurors, you guys!!! :banghead:

I am tired of issuing TOs tonight. Please stop it. Or at the very least, don't post about it. I am left with no choice but to issue TOs for sleuthing jurors, per the owners.

Good post, susan. I will share this much with you, sometimes people make up their minds with "first impressions" and this practice can have dire consequences. jmho

Did I sleuth a juror? OMG - how do I delete if I did.

Oh, man.....

I wonder if they had this pretty young woman, then her naked body, her having sex, talking sex, playing sex roles, acting demure, telling the jury some of the sex was good, being verbally accosted, dirty inferences about what he wanted to do to her, etc. Got to some of the jurors when it came to dp. Maybe pulled some into the fantasy? Mmmmmm........thats how she plays the game right?

Did you see this interview where he states that he is going on these shows b/c he is now aware of the public hatred towards CMJA, and he wants people to realize our justice system is based on innocent until proven guilty, and that CMJA is a human being.

First of all, does the Foreman not realize that she HAS BEEN PROVEN GUILTY? Was he zoned out during that little part of the trial?? She is now been proven guilty, he can speak his mind about her and what he thinks of what she did. But no, he chooses to in a way defend her, even after he was one of the ones who convicted her! WTF??

That CMJA is a human being....Travis was a human being too. She took his life and to this day feels no remorse for it, and has never stated that she would not do the actual killing again.

I'm looking for sleuthers in the West Texas area, please pm me if you are interested.

We have a few mths I think to set some things up for the next round for them. And we all I think have a degree of adrenaline still pumping at the end of this trial so....let's get this party started!

Samantha said the main donations clearing house is www.travisalexander.org now so at least that part is settled. Might wanna put a West Texas shout on on other threads too!

Juries are all very different. Each one takes on a unique dynamic. It is really very interesting to experience. I've personally sat on 3 juries (once a high profile local case where we were sequestered for 2+ weeks) and also, in my career as a paralegal, I have spoken to jurors many, many times. It is one of my favorite things to do. lol Per all jury instructions, the very first thing they do is elect a foreperson. Sometimes they go in and everyone is kinda respectful and there will be one person who has stood out as a leader...another vocal juror will nominate that person. More often than not, that person is promptly elected foreperson.

Other times, you will have a juror who is just aching to be the foreperson, whether they are the best candidate or not. What often happens in that case, is the other jurors hoping to start things off on the right foot as a united group in good faith, will just say, "okay, if you want it, you can have it". I have yet to see this guy's interview so I am only guessing by what I have read (including the transcripts) but my bet is he was one of these types.

Thanks for sharing...I find those dynamics fascinating. I think 18 would have had a run for his money had Daniel Gibb stayed on that jury (who I'd love to talk to one day).

Too eerily similar to what DB said about her in his interview with Kiefer's azcentral interview IMO.

It's all the same party line sold by the defense. In REALITY her own parents told a very different tale at the time of her arrest--a time when parents might be inclined to whitewash their child simply out of abject FEAR of their consequences.

I HAVE NO DOUBT THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED WITH THIS GUY. I am not going to speak for the other 3 jurors for life. But with this guy, I can tell by listening to his interviews and the way he talks about her.

I have been wanting to say this but feared it would be too inflammatory. IMO the sex played a part in it, at lesat with the Foreman. Scary to say that. I kind of kind from him the same vibe I got from DB....like almost infatuated with her (well, for DB, totally infatuated).

I think CMJA could use sex as manipulation b/c she pretty much did anything. She is every guy's fantasy (in sexual terms ONLY). What guy would not want a girl that would allow EVERYTHING? And it does go into fantasy...for example with the tootsie pops and pop rocks and her voice on the sex tape...I would think that would leave like a permanent impression on a man's brain who is already susceptible to her and hasn't figured out her evil ways. That's what happened with this particular juror. The impression was embossed, and he could not get it out.

I must have missed any posts about that...I certainly hope I didn't inadvertently post something along those lines? I really don't want to hear more from the jurors as I don't want to know who those 4 were. I watched them so closely all those months and I just don't want to have bad feelings toward any of them. :(

I am however very interested in hearing from the alternates/ dismissed jurors.

Hey guys! I know some are upset over what the jury foreman has been saying.
Please keep in mind that the other jurors have not spoken. Lets keep the doors open here fir them! They had a tough job and gave murder 1 with extreme cruelty!
Lets not scare them off to speak! Remember.....8 of them held out for dp! The others have their thoughts too and I want to hear it!!!
none need to say their vote to me, I just want to know the thought processes.
