Well, Amy ended up receiving the camera at her old address or it went back to the sender or something because she told Casey that she must have put the wrong address on it. When I heard that, I figured Casey gave her the wrong address so her mom wouldn't see her stuff start to be shipped to her house. LOL. But I looked at previous texts, and she did in fact give her the correct address.
I really think Casey was just lying about getting a text from Cindy about the camera. Amy kind of busted her on it when she said it had been returned.
I found your post intriguing, although I have a little different twist on the context of "busted" --
As you pointed out, KC had given Amy H. the correct address. What KC had not done, however, was tell CA anything at all about Amy H. (CA did not know anything about Amy H. until she found her contact info on the resumés in KC's car on 7/15)
I think it's entirely possible that KC's mom did actually text her "something" about the camera. Here's what I suspect:
CA probably had received the package containing the camera days earlier, noticed an unfamiliar name on the address label, marked it "return to sender" and given it back to the postal carrier.
On 7/15, when CA discovered the Amy H. resumes in KC's car, it occurred to her she had seen the name "H-------" on the package that arrived at their home days before. At that point, she realized there was some connection between KC and Amy H. It may have crossed her mind that perhaps KC had been posing as Amy H (maybe even a fictitious Amy H) for some reason, because she'd apparently received mail at the Hopespring address under Amy H's name (as far as CA knew, anyway) -- for perspective, remember: the Anthonys had never heard of Amy H. but they had recent experience with KC engaging in acts of "identity theft" (for financial fraud purposes) within their own family.
In early afternoon of 7/15, if CA tried to call Amy H's number gleaned from the resumés.. she would have been directed to voicemail (not reaching Amy live, her phone turned off for air travel as she returned from PR).
Somewhere in the texts/calls from CA to KC on the afternoon of 7/15 my hunch is that CA, impatient to unravel the 'mystery of Amy H', sent KC a line of questioning trying to draw out information about who Amy H was.. i.e. "Who is Amy H? Why did we receive a package addressed to Amy H?"... (etc, etc -- she might have further questioned "Why do you have resumés for Amy H in your car?")
From an exchange like that, KC may have misconstrued the idea that her mother had actually accepted delivery of the package addressed to Amy H, hence she thinks the camera is at her parents' home and informs Amy.
Mostly speculation on my part -- it will be interesting to find out what the missing texts reveal at trial.
