A woman in Kenya was seen allegedly throwing her 8 month old baby into the Indian Ocean from a ferry as the ferry was docking. Divers rescued the baby and he/she was treated at a Red Cross Centre and discharged to a Red Cross rescue centre. The mother was arrested.

We read on here how babies get thrown away like garbage and it's despicable. I don't recall a case where a baby or small child was rescued but in this case the baby was. Kudos to the bystanders? / ferry workers? who jumped in the water.

Sry mods, this is my first thread, I think and the BBC link isn't working the best...

And not the first time a baby was throw away in Kenya, or anyplace, actually. It's a shame. :( This one was thrown into a pit latrine. :(
