KFC employee allegedly asks little girl to leave Jackson restaurant

  • #21
Why not just go through the drive through in the first place? After a doctors visit with a little one, on a feeding tube, the last thing I would want to do is park, get out, wait in line, order etc. I would want to get my child home and comfy with a movie. JMO MOO

I saw photos of the little girl, and she really doesn't look that bad. She is a beautiful little girl who has been injured. I feel most people would just possibly ask 'what happened to you, baby?'. I have seen people who were severely burned, and even thought I felt so bad for them, I would still smile and speak to them.
KFC gave the money because many people will read something and automaticly believe it, and decide to never eat there again. Avoid the recoil.
All of that said, I feel something's a little off in this story.

Grandma should use her 15min to warn people to watch their children preventing them from being mauled by pit bull dogs. Just thinking about this lovely little girl being attacked sends me off the rails. Jmo

I read the story before I saw any photos and expected her face to look really bad. She did not, she is still beautiful. I thought it odd athat she had just got out of the hospital and went in to eat while on a feeding tube. I also thought it odd that the grandmother talked about her crying while looking in the mirror because of her looks. She seemed to be happy and smiling (which made me happy to see) while she was on camera at the first link in the thread. I have no doubt this precious little girl has cried many many times but I just don't believe this story.
At this point in my life I don't really believe anything unless I see it for myself and then I only believe half of what I see.

eta I see that she didn't come from the hospital but instead the dr.

completely off-topic, but I wonder if KFC actually benefitted from this story. How many parents who have kids at home recuperating from tonsillectomies, or wisdom teeth extraction or other dental surgery read that and thought . . . ohh, KFC mashed potatoes and gravy would be a GREAT soft food to run out and get! Beats this endless jello and soup. And sweet tea too. ;D

I would like to see some proof.

From photos, it looks like the family lives in a trailer. There may be other dogs wandering. I hope someone helped to get sturdy new door and maybe a good fence so that no more dogs can get into the yard. That would also make the precious little girl feel more secure. No one should have said anything about this incident around the little girl and drawn attention to her scars. She is beautiful. She will heal and the scars repaired, but such a shame that she lost an eye.

Does anyone know who is running this facebook page? Her parents? Friends of the family?

Yep! I'd still eat at KFC. Even if the story's true, one bad employee doesn't represent the views of the whole chain. It's not like we're talking Chick-Fil-A here.

Isn't it so sad that we even have to question it? But I am not sure either.

I don't know. It just is so ridiculous. I wonder if they just gave them money to shut them up.
Proof or not it looks bad.

Respectfully BBM. I suspect so. To me, that amounts to blackmail. Seems a <sarcasm> fine </sarcasm> way to rake in some ca$h. JMO.

According to the DM (if they have their facts right) it wasn't just wandering dogs.

The grandfather owned several pitbulls, 3 of which attacked this girl. The dogs then turned on him, so he shot them. The authorities seized the 8 dogs that survived. The grandfather and his girlfriend were arrested for child endangerment.

Oh my word! Dangerous dogs like these are like cooking with a can of gasoline on the stove. Hopefully kfc's donation will go into a medical care trust and not into a family members pocket. Jmo

Yup! There went my sympathy for this family- they made it sound like it was loose, strange dogs in the neighborhood that attacked her. I can relate to that! Not their own 8 pitblulls! Even one pitbull with a child is an accident waiting to happen. Now I do believe they were out to scam KFC. My support is behind KFC.

Yeah I don't know. I just looked at the FB page and I think someone's been trying to cash in on this poor girl's misfortune in a big way. Jmo.

"The report of a Jackson KFC accused of asking a 3-year-old girl to leave because of facial scars was a hoax, according to the Laurel Leader-Call."

Thanks for the link:

I find it very impressive that KFC is still contributing towards the little girl's medical treatment.

With all of the other funds that have been raised -- zowie -- hope those folks can get their money back.

How about charges of mischief for gramma /?

Disgusting.

It's one thing to put yourself on the line to con some cash or push your agenda -- it's entirely different to use a child. Add to that the trauma this little girl has already suffered.

I can't find the link now but I remember original quoted Grannie as saying that this darling already avoids looking in the mirror, etc -- Grannie railed and railed about how horrible this KFC worker was to contribute to that....

Can YOU look in the mirror, Grannie?

Disgusting.
