ITA!! The shell game becomes a very sophisticated 'conspiracy theory' that is just too hard to pull off and -- at the end of the day -- the simple basic theory is the correct one.

We all love complex and exciting conspiracy theories, there are many about 9/11 that many choose to believe because they are more interesting and stimulating than the cold hard reality.

You have to look at all the circumstantial evidence in the case and it is basically, KC murdered Caylee -- as plain the as nose on my face -- whether predatory charities are involved now or not.

KC's 'mommy duties' were getting in the way of partying -- clear as day.

I agree with the KC part..........but I don't believe any child ever dies in vain. I am one of those "peculiar people" who believe there is a reason which benefits many others because of the death.

I don't see it as complex or a conspiracy - I see it as just another group of unscrupulous people trying to make money off the most helpless and most vulnerable in our society.

I do believe it is OUR responsibility when we see wrong doing to try to correct that to protect others which may fall prey.

We have reviewed this thread and have placed it back in Caylee forums but please everyone lets respect one anothers opinions.
Thank you

No, I didn't. I have a tendency to just go looking. This way if I find something and it happens to match what someone else thinks or had found out then it holds more water.
Two independent opinions coming to the same conclusions based on the same set of facts is more telling than just one person coming to a conclusion. Its not that I don't take anyone else word for anything but I have always thought it is better to see for myself.
This is also what I was talking about...thought you might find it interesting.

Hello y'all -- new member here. First post. I *think* the avi will advertise my newbie-ness for a few days until I can figure out how to use the picture I have to use as my avi. Please be kind until I get the hang of posting. Thanks in advance!

This thread has taken me out of lurk mode. I think this topic has a lot to do with Caylee and future missing children. The original question was "KidFinders ~ Have they EVER found a kid?" With all the research exhibited, I guess the answer is "no." Therefore, we need to do the right thing by Caylee and the other children and pursue this to the end. (The A's may even be prey in this case - when did they meet any of these predators?) MOO

I am pleased to see the evolution of the thread into an exposure of the kinds of organizations / individuals that I refer to as  PREDATORY CHARITIES. Mega-thanks :blowkiss: to Elliieit, Turbo, RR, Reef, Misheley, Shadow, and all (too many to mention) who dug up the disgusting details of what is readily available to the general public -- if the time is taken to look and if one knew where to look. And if I read the posts correctly, there was a group who previously gathered info to report -- but I'm not sure who they are or what happened to their efforts or who it was reported to.

My background includes much work for non-profit 501(c)(3)'s from the management end (all voluntary work on my part). I can tell you that the IRS needs to know what you have unearthed. If you need any help with that, let me know.

I don't think it would hurt to notify the major networks (Dateline, 20/20, MSNBC, Frontline, etc.) as well as local Florida media of your findings. The public should know because the average person is not going to check out *charities* on their own. I could tell tales of the millions of people duped every day because they think they are giving to a great cause. But preaching to the choir here - sorry.

The legislation is in place - state and federal - to control these scumbags. What is missing are enough investigators. Gang, I gotta tell you that WE the general public are those investigators. I will be writing my own letters reporting what you found because now that I have this knowledge, I feel I must act. Being a Newbie, I don't know if I should or should not mention Websleuths. I would like to give credit to WS but realize that that may bring unwanted attention to the purpose of this fabulous site. Please advise.

GO WEBSLEUTHS! Help effect change for the better in our charitable organizations! Or at least raise awareness so folks find out exactly where their dollars go before they donate!

Bobo
Thanks for a very insightful 1st post! Welcome Bobo!!! Just tell me the where and how. I also challenge those great investigative reporters out there (and I well imagine enough of the media reads here) to do their homework...just like we and many others have.

Thanks,

I was seeing documents that had odd transactions of mortgage satisfactions filed. Like 30,000.00 on a 250,000.00 mortgage but it looks like it was paid off. This is not my area of expertise by any means but there were some things that just looked odd to me. They may be perfectly legal though. Loopholes for the rich and famous so to speak.
We need someone who deals in real estate in Florida because when it comes to subdivisions and condo resort sales and such I have no clue how that works.

It is the use of the name switching. With all this on line searching being done by professionals now they may only look at the heading, go to the Book and Page number and make sure mortgages have been filed, stamped and timed dated as satisfied and are not looking at the names per say. It is not until you start comparing names and block and lot numbers that are used for collateral from one to another that you notice things. Plus all it takes is for a group of appraisers to up the value for each other on a group of property and some otherwise less than honest brokers working with those appraisers and you have yourself a good flipping business.

Sub prime mortgages happen this way. Everyone makes out all the way down the line except for the taxpayers and the neighbors that have overpriced and empty buildings.

I thought the date was very interesting...this was all going down in July. Not much later, this guy is offering money for a reward, cars to be raffled, etc. Just think if you were in trouble with the AG you might not want to be flashing your "wealth" around.

Thank you for restoring this thread! Everyone has worked hard on this topic and it appears something very sleezy could be going on!

So how does the 'non profits' fit in here. Money to show income so they can buy and sell land deals. Or was the non profit started as a shield so no one will look to deeply at any of the other stuff they are doing. It could be that these type of people just tend to enjoy getting one over on somebody so the family of the missing are easy marks. I would love to see there filing and to see what and who is getting as salary, or is it all done for free with some hefty expense accounts.

Excuse me if I'm asking the same question over again, but don't they have to provide financials if requested? I asked for financials for a child sponsorship one time and was appauled to learn that only 7 cents of my dollar went to the child. I cancelled.

I would say that maybe that reporter may be just a we bit interested in what we have come up with.

As far as this guy giving money he has away while he is being looked at for some not so good actions. Might be deflection. See I am not the big bad wolf you think I am. But hey you can have the largest raffle prise in the world but if you never intended to give it way ......

It like the store that advestises something really expensive for a really super price and when you go to buy it they 'ran out'. Right... can have a really good price if you never plan to sell them. Works both ways.

There are rules by the feds and then rules by the state. I would have to study each one to really get a good handle on it and when I worked for a non profit was back in the early 90's so what I knew then may not apply now.

Yes, a lot of non-profits have lousy percentages on admin cost vs what is spent on what they are suppose to be doing. We use to work on 2% admin cost. That is harder to do today than 15 years ago but a good non-profit should be aming for under 10%. Some non-porifts according to what it is they do may have a little bit hight percentage that that. Anything that a lot of travel is needed you are going to see some higher numbers on Admin but that was a 93% admin cost. How they even had non-profit status with that is beyond me.

Thank you Windchime and the rest of the Mods. :blowkiss: Something good must come out of this tragedy. Unfortunately, we cannot stop the horror of missing children-but maybe we can stop the families from further torture at the hands of people who have no soul. Put them where they belong!:behindbar

Yep, that's right. They have to provide you with that info. Their Form 990's. too. Keep asking and spread the word to friends to ask as well.

In the case we have here, the webs are so tangled that it boggles the mind.

OK, one more post for tonight and then I need some ZZZZZ's.

What we have here with all these alleged charities is an enmeshed and tangled web. Each and every one of the entities mentioned in this thread are suspect.

What has been revealed is that some of these entities are definitely in violation of IRS 501(c)(3) regulations and should not be accepting contributions. The lid needs to be taken off the snake pit.

BTW Marla, thanks to your signature pic, I don't have to exercise as long as I see that every once and a while -- gives my heart quite a start every time! Thank you though for thinking well of a Newbie! There sure are some great peeps here. And I really do think this place is the best forum I've ever read. Good Mods who have good sense.

Oh, I definitely think it was done to restore "reputation"...but I agree, we have NO idea if the raffle was legit. Should all of this be a metter of public record somewhere?Didn't Turbo say they need to register with the State?

It's home away from home for many of us.
I'm off to bed as well.
Good-nite all.

We can ask directly this directly of the organizations?
