If he is still alive then I have to take a guess and say he may have gotten the virus and survived it. There was a lot of mysteriousness about where he has been lately and so there must have been some basis for why those stories started to appear.

So I am thinking he had been gravely ill and was trying to recover from whatever it was. We saw reports that China sent some doctors or something over there to NK and that hints towards him having caught the virus since China doctors would probably have the most experience with how to treat the virus and I could see NK asking if China could send some of their best doctors over to help him.

If he passed on, I would not doubt that a body double would be used temporarily until NK figures out who they want as their new leader.

I think Sadaam Husein or was it his evil brother Uday that had a body double? There was a documentary I saw about SH and his evil brother and I cant remember which one of them had one, but I remember how the body double had to go through training and I think some plastic surgery as well if I remember it right. It was very interesting to learn about all the steps they took to train and make the body double be as close as possible.

ETA--It was Uday brother of SH who I was thinking about that had a body double. I think Sadaam had multiple body doubles as well but the documentary I saw was mainly about Uday and his evil doings.

Yes @Niner , "The Devils Double" I think was the movie I must have watched about it.

Its pretty horrific to learn of all the bad things Uday did. In some ways he was worst than SH himself. I was surprised SH didnt have him killed since he was so unpredictable.

I would think a body double would be in a very precarious position. If his services are ever needed temporarily until a replacement is named, they won’t have any use for him afterwards.

If Kim Jong Un dies, the body double will be useful until the replacement takes over. But if and when it would be made public that Kim Jong Un has died they couldn’t have body double around any longer.

Last week, the movie Kagemusha was on one of my Movie channels. It's a classic by Akira Kurosawa. "Kagemusha" means "political decoy." I usually have to be in the right mood to get involved in a subtitled flick, but this one really drew me in. Highly recommend! IMO

I would think the government would consider him a security risk because of the knowledge he had. Wouldn’t they be afraid there would be a chance he would expose their plot? Or governmental secrets?

Possibly something could go wrong during the plastic surgery.

Dennis is 6'8" * & KJU is 5'3" to 5'7" **. That's a 13" to 16" difference. ( but pls check my math )

Kim Jong-Un's upper left incisor is a little bit longer than the right, and he doesn't have a gap between his upper teeth.

Kind of off topic but I read a really good book when I was in high school about an Air Force 1 crash where everyone died. It was announced that the president died but then it turned out a body double was on the plane and the president was still alive. Once a few close to him knew he wasn’t in the plane and was still alive.

IIRC the body double was his brother.

I have NO CLUE what the title was but would sure like to read it again if I could find it.
