There's multiple facebook profiles for a young girl with that name in South Carolina. Based on photos, all the same young person. First one just a photo. Facebook The second FB page has that same photo but a few more posts - looks like all of her "friends" are in South Carolina. Kinsley Wherry More FB profiles with more photos of her face to match against the missing pictures. Certainly would pass for older than her age IMO. Kinsley Wherry and Facebook

one of those accounts references a deceased dad (1/16/1971-6/22/24) a hard loss for a young girl. The social media makes me sad. Why are kids in such a hurry to be grown? Don't they understand a lot of us grown folk wish for those days of being a kid?

I wonder if them going missing around the deceased dads birthday date is significant? JMO

MISSING/RUNAWAY TEEN -Kinsley Wherry
On Saturday, January 17th, 2026, the Conway Police Department opened an investigation into a missing/runaway teen. Kinsley Wherry is a 12 year-old white female, who stands 5’08” tall weighing 120lbs. She has blue eyes and blonde hair. She was last seen at approximately 3:55 p.m. around the 1600 block of 3rd Avenue. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and maroon/orange shorts.

Who was she seen last with, could this be a case of a custody battle or a biological parent trying to take the girl? Maybe a boyfriend or abuse In the home?

A few notable points that I researched regarding this. Where Kinsley's last appearance was (the 1600 block of 3rd Avenue), it looks like a pretty desolate spot for a 12-year-old to be. So, I looked at the area, found out there's a restaurant on that street called "Shelly's Seafood Market." Which is where I believe she was sighted. Right near the restaurant is a store called Conway Air Conditioning. The only thing is, I don't know when the restaurant was open. I see that it's permanently closed now, but I've seen them reopen and close before, from what old posts about the restaurant stated, which I found online.

I also looked back at the missing records of when both girls went missing back on November 1st, 2025. Stated both of them disappeared on Falcon Rd. I put all three roads as destinations on Google Maps: the 1600 block of 3rd avenue, Falcon Rd., and Apache Drive. I looked at houses on Apache Dr. and Falcon Rd. to see if any of the porches matched the ones in the missing photos, but all the houses that I looked at didn't appear to have a grey wooden porch. There is one house on Apache Dr. that is blurred, which could also possibly be the house they initially ran away from. There are a few houses on Falcon Rd. too, but none that I could see very well using Google Maps.

My theory is that both of them ran away from the house in the missing pictures, which was on Falcon Rd, which was back in November. I'm assuming that they got placed in different homes; one was in Hartsville, and the other was living in Conway. They both ran away again, resulting in two different locations where they were last seen. I hope they get found soon.

I live in Myrtle Beach and work in Conway. The location where she was last seen isn’t as desolate as it looks, although I definitely don’t consider it the safest part of town. That section of 3rd Avenue that connects at the intersection in front of Shelly’s Seafood Market is actually one of the most traveled roads in Conway. The center of the city’s downtown area is less than ten blocks north on 3rd Avenue — both the police station and the county courthouse are located there.

One reason kids are in a hurry to be "grown" is to have a sense of more control over their lives and fate. I hope these girls feel they have safe people who are truly there for them.

The grass is always greener on the other side... We all want not what we have, but what we think is better than what we already have. It usually isn't. We don't appreciate what we have until it is gone. Human nature. IMO.
But I also agree with @ChatteringBirds that kids desire more control, especially kids who are abused/neglected, obviously.

Thank you for telling me this information. I've never been to South Carolina. I've only been to the Smoky Mountains in North Carolina, and most of my visits were in the northern portions of North Carolina. You're right that it's not the safest part either. I did a little research about the crime statistics there, and that spot is definitely in a higher crime area than other parts of Conway. I'm still thinking that one might be in Columbus County, and the other could be in Horry County. If they got kidnapped, though, I don't believe they would be in those areas. I haven't seen any other news or updates either regarding either of them, so I hope they're okay. I hope the police know something, but since they're considered runaways, I don't feel they're taking it seriously.
