Patsy claimed it was spread out on the spiral staircase... How did the small foreign faction know she would use that staircase? Patsy claimed to have STEPPED OVER it on the way down the stairs.

Sure....she did. Eyeroll.

In the beginning, LHP got a lot of negative attention and she was seriously investigated. PR named her as someone who had a key to the house and was experiencing money problems...someone who knew their habits and knew her way around the house. Hypothetically speaking here, but if PR had managed to get rid of JB's body and had typed the note, LHP might have been seen as a real suspect. moo

PR said she was pouncing and bounding, and he was on hands/knees in his underwear

he said he was showered/dresssed when she hollered. LE asked if he was dressed, he said yes. Officer French described the clothes JR was wearing. only PR went with the underwear

Yes- a dark blue terry bathrobe, wasn't it? And there were dark blue fibers found on her thighs and pubic area (described by the coroner as having been "wiped by a cloth").
Wonder if those fibers were ever tested against that terry bathrobe (which was found in the den- an odd place for a robe). I bet not.
BTW, these were different than the dark wool fibers found in her panties- those fibers WERE tested and found to match JR's wool Israeli shirt.

hmmm...IMO, this whole thing would make a lot more sense if JR wasn't there that night and came home that morning. Like with what you just said...why would there be 2 separate versions of this- the most basic of stories? IMO, it sounds like JR walked into the house fully clothed, and PR in an attempt to make him being home more believable, put him in his underwear. After reading the 'million dollar question' quote from ST, I'm even more suspicious of JR not being home. all moo and theory.

Linda7NJ,
All will be revealed. The Ramsey case reminds me of the Davinci Code, lots of interpretations, no lack of evidence etc.

JR's story about the RN is calculated to reflect his lack of fingertip contact with the RN, plain and simple!

Totally agree with this about JR and the ransom note...I am not getting any younger here waiting for all to be revealed !

....Yeah, and too bad they didn't purposely break JBR's piggy-bank in all of the staging 'cause then we'd be looking for not just a kidnapper and a pedophile but a burglar too! Those small foreign factions are just so screwy!

How would that be for mixing up the proverbial tossed-salad?

A virtual smorgasboard of staging and deflection going on, I tell ya'.....

I bet that bathrobe was taken from the house when PR's sister got those few things for the funeral. :scared:

many conflicting versions in the first interview(s)

PR said their routine was that one of the parents would put BR to bed. JR said he did it every night

JR said suitcases were by the back door. PR said suitcases were upstairs (for Disney cruise) and they were only taking plastic bags to MI, which were by back door along with wrapped presents for MI

PR said bags of presents were by back door to take to the airport on the 26th and JR also loaded some in jeep. JR said he took the presents to the airport and loaded them on the plane when he did the pre-flight check on the 25th

JR rarely went to basement but knew that the windows there were frequently open

PR described usual morning routine as BR putting on clothes she laid out for him while she dressed JB in what she'd laid out for her. on the 26th she hadn't done that for either child

PR said she stepped over the RN because she might slip if she stepped on it (think about how awkard/difficult it would be to skip a tread when coming down a spiral staircase). she was evasive and tried to avoid saying she touched the RN. when asked, she thought JR moved it to the floor. when told that her prints may be on it and her touching it could explain that, she thought maybe she did touch it. she never read the entire RN, not even during that day while it (a copy) was in the sunroom. she read the beginning, the signature and "might have glanced and seen the $18,000. I just couldn't bear to read it"

JR looking for signs of entry, checking the basement by himself before anyone arrived, seeing the unlatched/broken window, latching it. and not mentioning it

and ... the only two questions she didn't answer in her interview and deferred to JR were about him checking windows in the basement that morning before LE arrived: "You know I, you’re just going to ask him I don’t . . ." and about the flashlight: "John would remember"

Who wouldn't pick the note up to look at it? Who would get down on hands and knees to read it? Why not lay it on the counter? Odd.

:scared: If your kid's been kidnapped, why isn't an unlatched/broken window a very important detail?
Giving the R's the benefit of the doubt, did they not want this solved? :scared:

Don't forget the strange vehicle he claims to have seen using binoculars! But never mentioned it to anyone that morning.

Oh... John had BAIL money all lined up in the immediate days after the murder, but never attempted to gather together the ransom.

When the deadline came & went... He disappeared to get his mail? WHAT????

What is this fleeting memory I have of the outside edge of Patsy's handprint on the ransom note. ?

The edge that would be on the paper while writing on it.

Am I imagining that tidbit?

^ you are correct. in the '97 interview they mentioned something about that. IIRC it was transcribed as "blatting" (which doesn't google as anything about a hand but there were a lot of transcription errors)

I took it that they were telling her a print from _ _ _ _ part of her hand was found on the RN. don't know if that was true, or an interrogation technique

(I have a really hard time reading the later intervews because the format drives me up the wall)

22 JOHN RAMSEY: But I remember I was standing

23 at my sink and I was probably brushing my teeth or

24 combing my hair or something
and I heard Patsy

25 scream.

------------

JR: Well, I’d gotten up at a little before the alarm went off, 5:30 a.m., 5:25 a.m. and went and took a shower; was getting dressed and uh, heard Patsy screaming, and I ran downstairs and I think probably intercepted her maybe in the landing there, the second floor landing I don’t remember exactly; but, ah she showed me the note and uh, . . .

------------

there are way too many contradictions re how they "found" the note and what they did after they found it,it's comical...

13 TOM HANEY: The second time you

14 don't recall exactly where it was?

15 PATSY RAMSEY: I think it was

16 laying around on the floor here somewhere or

17 something. After I went up the stairs. It was

18 there somewhere. I know I came down here, and I

19 either handed it to John or he went in and

20 picked it up. Anyway I came over to the phone.

21 TOM HANEY: Let's stop there. He

22 came down the stairs. He has already gone to

23 presumably to check on her --

24 (Multiple speakers.)

25 TOM HANEY: And you come down here?

0045

1 PATSY RAMSEY: Right.

2 TOM HANEY: So you get down there,

3 he is not there. I assume, John?

4 PATSY RAMSEY: Right.

5 TOM HANEY: Okay. What do you do

6 between the time you get down there and the time

7 that he does show up?

8 PATSY RAMSEY: Just kind of

9 standing around in here. You know. I was

10 screaming and crying and --

11 TOM HANEY: Okay, and what -- okay,

12 what were you screaming, what were you saying?

13 PATSY RAMSEY: I said, "oh, my God

14 how did they get in, why don't we hear

15 anything," you know, "where were they, how could

16 this happen?" I mean I was just --

17 TOM HANEY: So you're not reading

18 the note then?

19 PATSY RAMSEY: No.

20 TOM HANEY: You're just wandering

21 around in this area?

22 PATSY RAMSEY: Yes.

23 TOM HANEY: And that's the area

24 just--

25 PATSY RAMSEY: Like the --

0046

1 TOM HANEY: -- south of the spiral

2 stairs?

3 PATSY RAMSEY: Right. This, the

4 little bar, sort of like in this little area. I

5 was just like, you know, indicating (INAUDIBLE).

6 TOM HANEY: And where do you see

7 John, when did you see him next? Use red for

8 him?

9 PATSY RAMSEY: Well, I don't know

10 how -- I mean the next thing I remember, I

11 was -- he was saying, "call the police, call the

12 police," he had the note and he was kneeling

13 right here.

14 TOM HANEY: Okay, let's stop you

15 again. You're in here and I understand --

16 understandably you're pacing around?

17 PATSY RAMSEY: Right.

18 TOM HANEY: And screaming. When

19 and where do you see John?

20 PATSY RAMSEY: In this area

21 (indicating).

22 TOM HANEY: And what is he doing

23 there?

24 PATSY RAMSEY: He said -- you know,

25 I said "there is the note." I think I handed

0047

1 him the note here, somehow in this space he got

2 the note.

3 TOM HANEY: Okay, let's just put an

4 X on this main floor diagram, where you first

5 see John again.

6 PATSY RAMSEY: Okay, right here.

7 TOM HANEY: So you don't know if he

8 went to check on Burke, came down the front

9 stairs and then came down through the kitchen?

10 PATSY RAMSEY: Right.

11 TOM HANEY: But he appears there?

12 PATSY RAMSEY: Right.

13 TOM HANEY: Take that back just --

14 what discussion do you two have there?

15 PATSY RAMSEY: I mean I was just

16 saying, "how did they get in, how did this

17 happen, who would do this?"

18 You know, screaming, screaming.

19 "What's the note say?"

20 John is saying "call 911, call

21 911."

22 TOM HANEY: Now that was his

23 initial response?

24 PATSY RAMSEY: Right.

25 TOM HANEY: Was that before or

0048

1 after he had a chance to read the note?

2 PATSY RAMSEY: Yes, he was crouched

3 on his knees here in his underwear. He laid the

4 papers out right there, 1, 2, 3 and was reading

5 it like this.

6 TOM HANEY: Let me back you up

7 again. You said a minute ago something to the

8 effect that maybe you went and got him the note.

9 Do you know how he--

10 PATSY RAMSEY: I don't know

11 exactly. Maybe he will remember. But I mean I

12 left the note somewhere here, whether I picked

13 it up and threw it down, just took off. And

14 then came back down the stairs, and whether I

15 picked it up, and then he came down, I gave it

16 to him. And said here's the note or whatever.

17 TOM HANEY: Now are you just

18 guessing or do you know--

19 PATSY RAMSEY: I can't remember

20 exactly.

-------------------------

pure BS,all of it,only a moron would buy this

what I find most ridiculous though is that she claims she waits down for John but is NOT curious to pick up the note and read it?COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my opinion re all the finding the note mambo jambo>>>they can't get their story straight because it's all a lie...the note was placed on the stairs after it was written and wasn't touched nor moved by them until the police arrived :moo:
