I always worry about these recalls and when they are announced.
Some people go to the store and just buy what they are having that same day so then the recalls are too late.

^ Good point, watcher9. In the case cooked shrimp, many folks would have purchased these popular products for holiday entertaining. Ready-made shrimp cocktail trays and/or bags of precooked shrimp are prominently featured in markets throughout the holiday season (Thanksgiving through New Year's).

Getting sick from seafood is no joke. I never buy or eat precooked seafood except smoked salmon. There are so many opportunities for contamination when you don't control food preparation.

I am seriously getting so paranoid about food safety lately. Instead of salad this year, I cooked greens. No contamination in collards cooked in an Instant Pot.
