It does sound suspicious a man that was arrested for kidnapping is the one to find the body of a child the mother said was kidnapped ironic..(even though i know Casey is responsible for Caylee's death you have to admit this is bizarre....

there were never any charges, they were dismissed, dropped. His ex-girlfriend called him for help with her new boyfriend and he did. The boyfriend called the police and said that Kronk had kidnapped her. It was cleared up and NO charges were filed. He is not a kidnapper.

if the records were indeed expunged then why bring them up all..

Because his life is being disected and he knew it would come up.Someone from his past would bring it up,so he beat them to it.

He was being honest and open. Expunged or not, he probably wanted it out there before some ex-friend or some clerk who touched papers at one time sold it to a tabloid. I can't blame the dude.

It is newsworthy. The network wants the story. If they offered me $20K to tell my story, you bet your sweet bippy I would take it. Sorry if that makes me look like a money-grubber, but it's just the truth.

They pay for stories. They pay for photographs. They pay for appearances. I just don't think there is anything wrong with it.

Do you think he should have declined the money? Really? I don't.
Good question for a poll...who would take the money or actually (as was the case of his lawyer) say they deserved money? How does this make him any different than the family making money off the crime? I'm pretty poor...but in this case...no way could I.

He came forward with this info. It was domestic related. He was never charged and it was expunged from his record.

If you are arrested is that the same as being charged just asking cause I don't know for sure

Poor Meter Man I bet he is sorry for doing what he did. Before the remains were found the question was asked would you say if you saw Caylee, and I said NO, she would be better off where she was. Looks like he should have just kept reading meters.
Why? His life is his own to do with it what he wants. He didn't need to go on national television.

Yes, I believe he (or someone for him/about him...who can remember) did say he was arrested.

It's not there.

Oh ok I didn't hear that part of the story only that he had been arrested for kidnapping.....

His 911 calls say it all, Wudge! He saw something suspicous, called 3x, LE didn't take it seriously enough. It's the same story in city after city, too. LE doesn't take things seriously enough. But that's for another thread. RK's story holds water to me (no pun intended), every aspect of it. I only question why he waited until 9:30 p.m. to make the calls. I would have called right away.[/QUOTE

The only part I can not understand is why he did not contact Yuri. If it was me and no one took me serious thats what I would have done. I would have been very insisted the first time. I think thats why so many people are having a hard time believing him.I think the more times you call in about the same thing no one in Le would take you serious. Maybe I am just a pain in the butt who knows but if the police did not take me serious I would have called the media. I am sure some one would have come down and met me there to film the finding of Caylee.

He probably didn't call Yuri b/c he didn't know for sure until Dec 11 that this was what everyone was looking for(that being the day he finally kicked the bag and saw a skull). I bet he went back and forth with himself over his gut instinct that something wasn't right, and not knowing for sure he didn't want to waste YM's time with something that COULD turn out to be nothing. It's always easier to Monday morning quarterback. MOO

I didn't hear that part of the story because it wasn't on GMA. Where did he say all that stuff?

Maybe if a reward was given but to sell his story or make money off of a murdered child is wrong IMO unless it was donated to TES to help find other children.

I respectfully disagree. His life has been turned upside down, he has been investigated by hundreds of amateur sleuths and probably several professional ones. He has to take time off work, both during the initial investigation and during the trial.

On a more spiritual note, I like to the think that Caylee was calling for someone to find her, and she would want this man compensated for his persistence. Heck, even DC gave up after four visits to try to find her, and he was being paid to look. I shudder to think of what would have happened if HE had found her, so I like to think she was quiet when DC was there and called to RK when he came by. :thumb:

Absolutely. I remember early on messages were sent here requesting that we back off....'cause anytime we uncovered something many (often en masse) would phone/email it in.

He said something about untrue stories being passed around about him and that people are believing them. What better way to reach millions of people to try and set the story straight about his past. MOO

I think we represent a wide cross-section of America...what "untrue" stories have we told about him. We've looked at the discovery as it should have been looked at. So who's telling these "untrue" stories? Sorry, at this point IMO he's trying to make himself more marketable. He's lost my interest.
