Identified! KS - Abilene, Human remains found in woods, Mar'15 - Jason Southern

Possible human remains were found Sunday about two miles north and west of Abilene in Dickinson County.

KBI officials arrived on scene early Monday morning. The KBI says a crime scene team and agents are on the scene, described as a wooded area near a creek.

Human remains found near Abilene in Dickinson County identified
The skeletal remains found northwest of Abilene on March 22 were positively identified Thursday as an Abilene man who had been missing since July, said Sheriff Gareth Hoffman.


Jason Southern, 42, had been reported missing to the Abilene Police Department on July 14, Hoffman said. He was last seen July 11.
