How many guys go to a Quinceañera??? In my experience aside from maybe the birthday girl's boyfriend...there isn't usually many males there.

Just a thought...maybe the 19 year old was just simply dropping Alicia off.

I'm not surprised they are planning a funeral. At least they aren't picking out the headstone yet.

What cruel irony.... Alicia apparently posted the lyrics to this song, on her facebook on August 6th.

Further irony...it has also been used in a video for Sylar...but on August 10th. I was wondering if she got it from that video but it was after she posted it.

I always saw quite a few young men at quince's but the one's I attended were in El Paso (and Central Texas).

The girl who's quince it is usually (at those places I outlined above will have what are called chambelanes. Plus all their male family and male friends of the family. Quite an affair. (A sort of "court" for the girl)

I don't even know if she was going to one though. Just my humble opinion and my experiences which could be very different in other parts of the country. (In fact there are differences in Mexican, PR and other countries to which I've been to the Quince's for, very interesting )

Thanks for the info Kat. I had never heard of these before. Goes to show your never too old to learn, and I've been living in the SW for a few years now. Sounds somewhat familiar to a bat mitzvah. What a nice celebration of womanhood for the young girls.

Wow that's so strange that she would post the lyrics to this song just weeks before her disappearance. It's one thing to just link the song because she likes it but to actually post the lyrics meant this song touched her in my opinion. Listening to the song and reading the lyrics just made my mascara run. So sad. Thinking of young, beautiful Alicia and precious baby Sylar.

Not able to be identified on scene, as she was burned.

Treated as a homicide.

Not going to release cause of death at this time.

Would like anyone that had contact with Alicia Saturday night to contact them. (either in person, on the phone or text contact)

They have been working tirelessly since Alicia was reporting missing on Sunday afternoon.

Give family privacy at this time.

Refused to answer questions about the 19 yr. old she was with. Ongoing investigation.

Doesn't believe it was a random act of violence.

Kansas AG will prosecute the case

The unidentifiable body found Tuesday afternoon was that of missing Great Bend teen Alicia DeBolt, Kansas Attorney General Steve Six said Thursday morning. During a news conference at the Kansas Bureau of Investigation Regional Office in Great Bend, Six also said his office would handle prosecution of the case.

Authorities said it was not a random killing. They have not identified a suspect/suspects or identified a person(s)of interest at this time. The investigation is continuing.

It was an employee of Venutre Construction who found her. LE will not be releasing any further information on evidence in the case. They continue to take and work leads. Asking if anyone texting her or had any contact with her, or who might know anything at all to call.

Prayers for this family. She was beautiful and so young she had her whole life ahead of her. I noticed on her myspace she last logged in august 20th and had 143 as her tagline , ( I love you.) I don't blame her mother for allowing her to go out at 11 whomever did this to Alicia is to blame. Hopefully Justice comes fast!
