I pulled up the name and it is possible that this guy was in prison in Texas in 2009. It also made mention that he called in bomb threats from a Texas prison to a middle or elementary school.

I saw that, I think that guy is still in prison. He was making the bomb threats from prison on a cell phone IIRC. LOL what a knucklehead.

KWCH-TV has reported that Longoria lived at that residence.
Great Bend police, Barton County Sheriff's Office and Kansas Bureau of Investigation officers entered the house at 1801 Eighth Street at about 10 p.m. They remained there well past midnight. The warrant covered the entire premises, which included the house and garage.
The adult male resident of the house was seen talking with officers as his children and dog sat on the curb nearby.
With yellow crime scene tape encircling the entire yard, investigators went in and out of the buildings. The KBI's mobile Crime Scene Unit was parked at the curb.
Officers at the scene said their investigation into the death of Alicia led them to the address.
In addition, they indicated they had the vehicle belonging to the wife of the man being questioned Thursday night. This was possibly a black Ford Escape, a small sport-utility vehicle.

so, from this link it looks like:

1) he did have kids and

2) his wife's black vehicle was taken

wasn't she picked up in a black suv? Could the 19 y/o have borrowed it from him??? just thinking out loud

Was it reported in an article or was it a rumor I read on the thread that there was a get together at this man's house for drinks the night Alicia went missing?

He did say to police that he had a get-to-gether at his house, BUT, there were several parties in Great Bend this weekend. There was also asweet 16 (or is it 15?). Per FB, there was one more, but not sure what it was related to.

Anyone know how far the commute is from where the POI was picked up to the police station in Great Bend? I am sort of clocking/anticipating the confession and I have housework to catch up on.

I see. I do have a really strong feeling that this guy is gonna be tied to some other serious crimes when it is all over with. For the guy to be there only three weeks freaks me out pretty good.

Police have questioned a 19-year-old, but aren't saying if that's the same person who picked Alicia up from her home Saturday night. He says he was not with her Saturday - and hadn't seen her since the previous Wednesday.

If that is accurate that's why they aren't releasing his name yet. He may not be involved or they are still checking out whether he is telling the truth or not. JMHO.
