According to the article he was just released May 25 th after 7 YEARS in JAIL!

Okay, I think I am starting to "get" it. I think, logically guessing, he fled Texas after he got out of jail (I am under the impression that you have to serve probation once you are released) and he (Longoria) is under the radar. He probably is spooked, for several different reasons. The nickname now makes sense, it wasn't like it was his middle name or anything. Asphalt, rocks, Rocco.

MickeySherman: he's got that Drew Peterson smirk and strut

:waitasec: I wonder how adam got a job at the asphalt plant as a convicted felon after just being released from jail?

great question!!!

  • #424
Working with or around asphalt is not a great job.

SherylMcC: gonna look for the accelerant; he already acknowledged texting with her; it'll put her in the car
-he's a pedophile; a predator

- they lived less than a mile from each other (AL and Alicia)

  • #427
They will be able to get information from Alicia .. this is so hard to say. But, DNA will be relieved. They will be able to determine things.

Wondering if this is the same guy....

Up until now it seems his crimes all revolved around money and evading arrest. The above link would indicate, imo, he didn't want to go back. Maybe, Alicia witnessed something. Honestly, that's just a thought, trying to make sense out of the insensible, I suppose.

Robbery, burglary.....it's all about entitlement.....considered violent crime.

[reported on the local news in Kansas] Neighbor of Longoria, "Alicia was at his party that night. We saw here there at the gathering. Several people were there."

just a thought here, thinking out loud.......they were looking for an accelerant in the search warrant (I think). I know asphalt isn't flammable once it is put on a street - but are there flammable "ingredients" used to make the slurry that will become asphalt? In other words - if they found an accelerant at his house I would think he would be charged. Maybe there were chemicals at the asphalt plant that were used...

MarcK: This guy is Rich Allen Davis all over again...special place in hell for him.

  • #432
NG: accelerant will show up on his clothes

  • #433
Do we have any Kansas locals in the thread that can verify the news locally?

  • #434
Reporter said that a neighbor saw her at his house that night-at a party.

I wonder if the girlfriend was home at that time!

Hope that mug shot is the old one--he's smiling like a psycho.

This is so disturbing. Im still confused, but leaning more toward it was not the 19 yr old who picked Alicia up at all, but the 36 yr old.

If that were so, that makes me think they had had prior contact. (Contrary to his, "only met once" speech, or whatever he said to minimize.)

I just cant get my head around it all. I dont want to "assume;" but I do ponder things which aren't "proof" but rather things, thoughts based on general human nature, some of which can be somewhat (operative word "somewhat") universal in some ways.

I dont mean to sound cryptic. Im just thinking, the dude is not a looker imo, but I suppose it's not completely implausible that having an older man take an interest in her -- however creepy -- could be perceived as flattering, exciting, "grownuip" or adventurous -espeically to a 14 yr old who has recently lost significant weight and perhaps is not accustomed to male attention, however inappropriate. (I read the weight thing here somewhere?)

What I cant figure out is the apparent "overkill" aspect of it all by burning the body. Could she have been pregnant? Perish the thought. I just cant figure it out the extreme treatment of the body; but then atrocities dont always, if ever, make sense.

Glad they got him...what a predator. Looks like he was luring the neighborhood teens with free alcohol.

http://www.kansas.com/2010/08/27/1465339/authorities-search-house-in-connection.html

A former neighbor of Longoria said he used to live in a house across from Heizer Park. She said he often hung out at the park with young teens, mostly boys. She said the park is a late evening gathering spot for young teens of both sexes.

The former neighbor, who asked not to be identified because of security concerns, said Longoria had some parties at his house where young people attended.

I have a feeling that the children are with their mother considering AL only got out of jail after serving 7 years.
