What I cant figure out is the apparent "overkill" aspect of it all by burning the body. Could she have been pregnant? Perish the thought. I just cant figure it out the extreme treatment of the body; but then atrocities dont always, if ever, make sense.

Every time I hear of a case like this, where the body is burned (and it's a female), she was carrying a child.

Not saying this is the case here.

This is so disturbing. Im still confused, but leaning more toward it was not the 19 yr old who picked Alicia up at all, but the 36 yr old.

If that were so, that makes me think they had had prior contact. (Contrary to his, "only met once" speech, or whatever he said to minimize.)

I just cant get my head around it all. I dont want to "assume;" but I do ponder things which aren't "proof" but rather things, thoughts based on general human nature, some of which can be somewhat (operative word "somewhat") universal in some ways.

I dont mean to sound cryptic. Im just thinking, the dude is not a looker imo, but I suppose it's not completely implausible that having an older man take an interest in her -- however creepy -- could be perceived as flattering, exciting, "grownuip" or adventurous -espeically to a 14 yr old who has recently lost significant weight and perhaps is not accustomed to male attention, however inappropriate. (I read the weight thing here somewhere?)

Personally, I think the "overkill" aspect came from all the brainiacs he just spent 7 years with that gave him poor advice. "Dude- if you burn the body they won't find anything!"

Technology has come a looong way in the last 7 years. JMO.

just a thought here, thinking out loud.......they were looking for an accelerant in the search warrant (I think). I know asphalt isn't flammable once it is put on a street - but are there flammable "ingredients" used to make the slurry that will become asphalt? In other words - if they found an accelerant at his house I would think he would be charged. Maybe there were chemicals at the asphalt plant that were used...

The hydrocarbon material that is used to create asphalt is actually derived from the waste material left over after the manufacture of gasoline, kerosene and diesel fuels. Essentially, asphalt is a by-product of the residue that is left behind after the more desirable components of crude oil and petroleum have been harvested. One of these by-products, bitumen, is sometimes referred to as asphalt oil.

Thank you. You got what I was trying to say!

Now, would they (any) be an accelerant (either by itself, or combined)?

I have a feeling that the children are with their mother considering AL only got out of jail after serving 7 years.

I am confused about the two Kids or maybe NG is, the GF has 2 kids. I don't know about him. TIA

He was in a prison gang and was stabbed 28 times for being a snitch.

Inmate Longoria, who was stabbed by fellow inmates for being a “snitch,” sued various Texas prison officials for constitutional and state-law violations arising from the attack.   In this interlocutory appeal from denial of Defendants' motion for summary judgment based on qualified immunity, we REVERSE IN PART AND DISMISS IN PART.   The district court erred in failing to assess the degree of participation of each prison official individually, and most of them-Officers Farr, Glass, Peacock, Rogers, Stafford and Staggs-were entitled to qualified immunity, as a matter of law.
I. BACKGROUND
We recite the facts as depicted in appropriate summary judgment evidence.
After midnight on May 27, 2000, Appellee Adam Longoria, a prisoner at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice's (“TDCJ”) Telford Unit, was stabbed twenty-eight times by fellow inmates David Peralez and George White.1  Due to their suspected membership in the Texas Syndicate (“TS”) prison gang, Longoria, Peralez, and White were housed near one another in a lockdown unit (or “pod”) because of recent hostilities that had broken out between the TS and a rival gang.

Okay wait. LOL

I had posted on the A. Longoria's before backthread.

1. That name is not uncommon. Even with the middle name Joseph there are more than 2 that I could find. Different ages, and one of them is him.

2. There is currently an inmate in Texas with the name Adam Longoria.

TDCJ Number: 01210045
Name: LONGORIA,ADAM
Race: H
Sex: M
Age: 45
Maximum Sentence Date: 2053-08-18
Current Facility: JESTER III
Projected Release Date: 2053-08-18
Parole Eligibility Date: 2028-08-18

I can't link directly to the webpage because the Texas inmate search page won't allow it IIRC.

But I'll try.

Please (not directed at Hollyblue!) this is not an uncommon name and when I was searching I did see quite a few of them. I saw more than one in the TX database for inmates that were NOT him.

Let's not confuse the various criminals of this name okay? :)

I have a feeling the GF hit the road Thurs. after LE was at there place. One reason is why did he need the neighbor to drive him to get the car andthis comment by the Neighbor who drove him.

"Slack says she drove him to Venture where he took a vehicle. She says on the way he was on the phone trying to call his girlfriend and lawyer. Once he got the company car, she went home and went to bed. When she woke up, she learned he fled and authorities were looking for him. Slack says she feels horrible but thought she was just helping a neighbor".

I am wondering WHY did he need a ride to work at 2 am from the neighbor ????

I would imagine that none of them are really flamable but if you were to light them on fire they would burn very easily.

NG said her crime news came from Corpus Cristi TX about him so...I am assuming he was Jailed in Corpus Cristi, but I do not know for sure.

Could it be that there was only one vehicle in the household and LE took that vehicle in the search warrant? IDK for sure.

I think LE has the gf SUV still. I don't think Longoria has a car.
