Yup, I got it that they are HER 2 children, however it was stated on NG that he has 2 children. That is why I wrote we have to wait and see what MSM writes about AL having children.

Her kids and her. Bet a dime to donut he was or would have been abusive too. This is the kind of situation I'm talking about for the incorporation of Parent Education or someplace where mothers and/or fathers, could come together to discuss proper parenting. How many women ask their date "Oh, and by the way, have you ever been incarcerated?" He's not going to volunteer it....likely. She probably was a struggling working woman....not getting child support, low self esteem, and felt it may be a win/win situation. Not. Maybe her parents didn't have the skills/knowledge either or maybe one or both weren't there for her. Just keeps going from one generation to the next. The way things are today, it will prolly get worse. Violence and evil always raise their ugly heads in down economics time.

and was found deceased on the 24th.

Welllllll, IMO, NG may not have the right info either and maybe as confused about the 2 children. We will have to wait and see what MSM writes about AL. :crazy:

I wonder if this was one of those jailhouse romances where you search for inmates online. AL was in prison for 7 years and only came out in May, and yet the girlfriend's brother stated they were together for 6 or 7 months.

Would he have been in a half way house situation? Could she have met him if he were?

I don't think so. Texas wouldn't let him transfer to a halfway house OUT of Texas. He would have to serve it there, which I am thinking he may not of even participated in that (usually those are for drug related offenses.)

I am still wondering about his probation, however.

It seem like mothers today are sorely lacking common sense.I am 51 when I was growing up my mom and dad were separated my whole life (divorced when I was 18)My mom could have remarried but she worried about bringing a man into a home with 3 daughters.She always thought of us first, her self last.Times where rough for her money wise she only received $ 80 a month support and worked as a waitress.I hope her children were not victims of him as well as that beautiful 14 yr old.May she rest in peace and he burn for eternity.

oh, man, I didnt know that. omg ..... That's a good point tho-- looking into other cases that ended in the same tragic way. I hate to ask a graphic question, but will they be able to determine that in an autopsy??

That was a pretty isolated area and they said the property had a fence around it, but it wasn't locked. There's a video out there somewhere showing the recovery unit out by the pond. This was nothing but a gigantic hole in the ground in the back of the property. If her body was right down in that lower section, no one would have been able to detect a fire...sorry so graffic....no matter how flat KS is. jmo

I am sorry for your loss. It REALLY warms my heart that you saw that about your mother. Sometimes people over look those things and sometimes even look down upon them in embarrassment. I bet she was a great Mom.

Don't know if rejection like that would push him to then burn her body though. Maybe I just want to believe that a 14 year old girl would be involved with a man his age.

But even as I was writing that last sentence I started thinking about what would could have happened if Alicia told him she was pregnant, he'd have more reason to fear the conciquences of that coming out than she would. (big, big heavy sigh)

BBM If he was a sociopath with misogynistic tendencies he may. He had to be given a psyche evaluation at some point. Curious..to what the results were.

Jumping in with my thoughts after spending all day and half the night catching up from page 1.

I'm not convinced at this juncture that AL is the killer, although he seems a pretty likely suspect. Sure curious about his GF. IF there was some sort of relationship, either real or merely perceived, between Alicia and AL, and she caught on to that...

That said, he's clearly not the brightest cookie in the jar, and IF he was responsible for the murder and new to the area, the workplace makes sense as a dump site. Simply because he was familiar with it, and probably not many other places since he had been in town no more than 3 months. And heck, it's pretty remote, they close around sundown, and offers impressive cover for a generally impressively flat state.

And he would grab the nearest, most accessible easily acquired accelerant. Plain old gasoline and a few matches. He's not smart enough for anything more, and why go to the trouble, especially if this was not premeditated (I shudder to think it could have been). IMHO, if he was the one who did this, she was burned simply because he thought it would destroy evidence. Meantime I can also picture him leaving a couple Marlboro butts behind. And oodles of evidence in the SUV.

I'm also not convinced that he necessarily ran because he was responsible for this. Mostly career criminal, likely on probation and maybe not allowed outside of TX depending on the terms of it, and the cops come knocking at his door with a search warrant. Bubba going to be scared and book. Of course that doesn't mean he isn't guilty, but I also would not be completely shocked if more info comes out to point to other individuals. Perhaps jealousy or an old-fashioned teenaged love triangle.

Still, at this juncture, with what info we do know, all roads seem to point to him.

I'm reasonably certain he picked her up, and her mother only presumed it was the ex-boyfriend. But that fact I don't think has been cleared up yet in reports. If she was picked up by an ex boyfriend and he has a current "love interest" she might not have taken that well at all.

He has been married in the past. In 1999 in TX. Do not know when divorced, but his ex shows a 2nd marriage in TX in 2005 (presuming it is the same EED in same county of course). I don't think it has a thing to do with this case, except they might have had children, so he could well have 2 children of his own, in addition to the two that are his GF's. Will eventually be clarified, but one hopes he never procreated.

There is an AJL Jr, claiming to be 13 out there (in Corpus). I hope he is the son of another AJL from TX. Has a little brother and sister. Myspace.

Somebody posted the below link earlier, before his very-much-matching description of criminal history in TX was mentioned by media today, and I think it bears reposting to demonstrate his clear lack of intelligence. In case it wasn't made apparent when he went on camera and stated Alicia had repeatedly texted him for rides. Something clearly was going on there (beer, drugs, ???), and somebody is going to pony up that info eventually, as girls will talk.

Nice post...with some good thoughts. I'm not ready to say he actually did it either, but I'll wait for all the physical and forensic evidence to come piling in. He's headed back, so he's not going anywhere. (like Mr. Capone)

One thing I noticed while contructing the map and noticed cause for a little hmmmmm, was the fact that the area she was found in had a pond and the party she was to attend (per the FB site) by Camp Aldrich had one also. Could this have been premeditated for some reason? We haven't heard anything more about the Quincenera...just that she was at his house that Saturday. Was there actually a Q? Too, when LE went to Willie J's, they inquired about AL, but also 3 other males. Were they at AL's on Saturday too?

oh this is beyond awful,I feel so terrible for Alicia's parents.I felt terrible when so many comments were putting blame on them and now I feel even worse.They must be going through such a tremendous amount of guilt,it's just not fair.This crime could have happened anytime, any day....this could have happened when Alicia got off the school bus,a girl from my neighborhood has been missing since 5 months after she got off the bus.
The parents are in no way,shape or form to blame here,I wished this church and their message of hate could be stopped someway so Alicia can have a beautiful vigil at least
