Hey, anyoldtime48, wonderin' when you were going to come on over. :)

Nice post...with some good thoughts. I'm not ready to say he actually did it either, but I'll wait for all the physical and forensic evidence to come piling in. He's headed back, so he's not going anywhere. (like Mr. Capone)

One thing I noticed while contructing the map and noticed cause for a little hmmmmm, was the fact that the area she was found in had a pond and the party she was to attend (per the FB site) by Camp Aldrich had one also. Could this have been premeditated for some reason? We haven't heard anything more about the Quincenera...just that she was at his house that Saturday. Was there actually a Q? Too, when LE went to Willie J's, they inquired about AL, but also 3 other males. Were they at AL's on Saturday too?

Very Interesting, I wonder if it also ties in with what this local poster said about AL's ties. (My above post) THX

From "Texas man charged in last week's bomb threats", http://www2.mcdowellnews.com/news/2009/feb/04/texas-man-charged-last-weeks-bomb-threats-ar-1561/:
Detective Kevin Fineberg of the McDowell County Sheriff's Office said he, Investigative Sgt. Chris Taylor of the Marion Police Department and agents with the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation traced phone records to determine that Adam Joseph Longoria, 35, made the call to Marion Elementary Friday morning that cleared two local schools.
*snip*
Longoria has been charged with making two false bomb reports. Fineberg said the inmate still has about a year to serve in Texas. Local authorities are placing a hold on him, so, when he has completed his sentence there, he will be brought to McDowell County to face these charges.

Longoria is an inmate at Stiles Institution in Beaumont, Texas. He has a long criminal record that includes credit card fraud, forgery, burglary and impersonating an officer.

This matches up with the suspect because of the age, full name (AJL), his past criminal history and his release date from TX.

Regarding the part in italics: does this mean that the charges were dropped in McDowell County? Apologies if it has been reported my MSM and posted here already.

If it is POI AJL that called in the bomb threat then he is not the AL that was stabbed 28 times for being a snitch. The AJL in the above article was in Beaumont, while the other AL ended up at another facility in Beeville:
Footnote 1.  Longoria completed his term at Telford and was released.   He has subsequently reoffended and is now incarcerated at the TDCJ's McConnell facility in Beeville, Texas.   All events relevant to this appeal occurred during his incarceration at Telford. From http://caselaw.findlaw.com/us-5th-circuit/1267639.html

One more thing, if POI AJL did make the bomb threats, it seems like he really had it in for the woman he asked to speak with. Definitely he really goes nuts when he is not happy when a woman does something that upsets him. Cannot believe that they wouldn't have pressed charges because he not only called in a threat, he was fixated on one particular woman that worked at a school. Someone who goes out of their way to get a cell phone into a prison to threaten someone like that isn't likely to just let go of their rage. But, I can't find a AJL anywhere in NC either.

However, when I looked at The Texas Tribune's Prison Inmate finder I found two possible matches. The first is an AL with no middle name so he can't be ruled out based on that, he is much older and is not serving time for any of POI AJL's past convictions reported here, http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5i_mCgA9tcpY4pUX8E02AAgaut7bgD9HS50DG2:
The Kansas charges are the latest in a long rap sheet for Longoria, who was released May 25 from prison after completing a seven-year sentence for aggravated robbery. Records in Texas show Longoria has done time there since 1991 for charges including burglary, forgery, credit card abuse, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, escape from prison and evading arrest.

The second possible match to AJL on TT's inmate finder received the same sentence as POI AJL of seven years for aggravated robbery. I don't know for certain that burglary and aggravated robbery are interchangeable , but the TT site does say this,
* The "Raw Description" field is the description that TDCJ has for each offense, which can vary between convictions for the same crime. The "Crime" field is the label we've used to try group together these varying descriptions based on the data we were given. It's not perfect, and some of them can be hard to understand.
But the record's first name is one letter off from Adam. It could be a typo, but this AL is a lot younger than POI AJL, the middle name is different, and he is still incarcerated because he also is showing up at TX's DOCJ site that only shows felons currently incarcerated (http://168.51.178.33/webapp/TDCJ/index2.htm.

There are no other prison records in the TT inmate finder that could be a match to POI AJL. So, am I missing something? Does anyone else see where I am confused or am I looking at this the wrong way and confusing myself?

Anyoldtime48,I think that the AJL you found on sortedbyname.com is right. Before I started bookmarking I found a AJL that was connected to a woman with that wife's name and someone in the state POI AJL was thought to have been fleeing to. That is a cool site, I've never seen anything like it.

That was a pretty isolated area and they said the property had a fence around it, but it wasn't locked. There's a video out there somewhere showing the recovery unit out by the pond. This was nothing but a gigantic hole in the ground in the back of the property. If her body was right down in that lower section, no one would have been able to detect a fire...sorry so graffic....no matter how flat KS is. jmo
Thanks for that information. I didnt know that. I still cant help but think that however suitable in his twisted mind (hidden, deserted etc) the location was for a fire, the end result is that he - if he did it - left the body at his place of work which provides a connection b/w the crime and the perp.

I guess I'm saying that however stealithy one hides a fire at the time of the fire, if in the end it can be tied back to him, it's not a suitable/unknown/unnoticed place afterall, I mean, assuming he sought to get away with this horror.

IDK

I hope Alicia wasn't pregnant either, but I wouldn't be surprised, it just keeps getting worse and worse.

But I was kind of thinking that they didn't necessarily have to have an intimate relationship. He may have been grooming Alicia, and when she rejected him he snapped. Don't know if rejection like that would push him to then burn her body though. Maybe I just want to believe that a 14 year old girl would be involved with a man his age.

But even as I was writing that last sentence I started thinking about what would could have happened if Alicia told him she was pregnant, he'd have more reason to fear the conciquences of that coming out than she would. (big, big heavy sigh)

If he is not familiar with the area, even if there would have been better places for him to hide, he was only familiar with the area around his work. Knowing about the flammable nature of asphalt may have played into his plan.
Asking anyone who knows, what are the differences in implications.. legal consequences for a 36 yr old man who has a criminal record, been in prison, etc - vs the same age man without a record in a stat rape situation with a 14 yr old female?

We have had to remove a few, these are the rules regarding social networks. Thanks. Ima
Regarding facebook, twitter, and myspace you can link but do not cut and paste. But the goal is to really only link to those that are directly linked to a case.

IOW, we don't want to post to someone's mother, brother, employer, milkman , or postal carrier just because they know the main player. It just gets too invasive and half the time we are not even sure it is the right person. When a post starts out, I found 5 people with this name do you you think any of these are [insert person here]? that is not a good thing.

It will often be up to mod discretion as to who can and cannot be linked, but the general rule of thumb is if they are named in the media specifically as having some role or are being questioned or have information then you are probably safe to link. No screen caps and no cutting and pasting. If a social media is set to private and you get in the back way and post what you see, that is not a good thing!Private means private.
Just imagine if is you if you cannot decide and you shoulod be able to figure out if it is ok.

You are free to discuss what you may come upon, but if it is just a lot of gossip and rumor it won't fly. People open facebook accounts and post whatever they want and to carry that as some sort of inside info is careless. but, sometimes there is really valuable information that may even come into evidence as in the Caylee Anthony case. So, if you know for a fact it is the right person and they are named outright in the msm as someone linked to the case it should be fine. IF IT IS A MINOR DON"T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!

If something was posted as public and then removed you might be able to post it, it is up to the mod of the forum and it depends on who, what, when and where.
The mods are listed at the bottom right of the forum under the index, they can generally help. If not, they will ask admin for guidance and we will all decide what is best.

Generally we try not to invade everyone's privacy and if the linked information has no bearing on anything, then leave it out.
We moderate here. Some people love it and some people hate it. Up to you to stay or go, choice is yours. Complaining about our rules doesn't help. if you have a suggestion or think of a better way, bring it on! We are far from perfect and welcome your input as long as it is civil and basically polite.

I have read about this terrible tragedy all over the news. I have read through most of the responses here. What I can't figure out is why in the heck would this Longoria guy be so stupid to steal a car from the very place that he works if he is the one guilty of this young girl's murder? How could anybody be so dumb to murder somebody, place a body where you work, and then steal a car from work. Has he said why he stole the automobile from work?

Dear Posters:

Discussing moderation on a thread is against TOS.

If you have a question about moderation, email or PM a moderator.

Stay on topic; that is a requirement of TOS. (ETA: There are other threads on WBC at WS; you can easily do a site search in order to find them and post there about that group.)

We do not sleuth minors; that is against TOS.

If you're not sure a link pertains to someone in this case, then DON'T post the link until you are sure. That is part of TOS (under "be a decent person").

Info from social networking sites and blogs can only be linked and paraphrased. Do NOT cut and paste.

If you quote from a news article, quote only 10% of the article and then post the link. Anything else violates TOS.

I hope you get the impression that we take our TOS seriously and that every poster needs to read it before posting.

Thanks,

This is the same guy who robbed a bank, drove the get away car to his house and parked in front. Go figure. The guy is not wrapped too tight and has little reasoning skills beyond of what he wants and how to get it. Period. It's all about entitlement to him. May be the case with Alicia. He wanted/expected something from her and she said no. So much like Joran Van der Sloot. They rage, overpower and destroy whatever gets in their way. IMO

Totally! :) It just helps to see what he is capable of etc. I have the same questions as Cathdawg regarding that incident. I'm also wondering if McDowell dropped the charges or it he was going to trial. Would he have been allowed to leave NC if he had a trial pending?

When I thought that he could of been the AL that was stabbed 28 times for being a snitch I was wondering if there was more to the stabbing... like word had gotten around that he was a child molester. But the confirmation of him calling in the bomb threats rules him out as the stabbed snitch.

Thank you!

Bumping this question because I'm interested in the answer.:)

Do we know for sure that following his release from TX DOC he would have been on parol and not have been allowed to leave TX? I've been trying to find court case info in TX to see if that info would be there, but I haven't had any luck...
