My interest is not so much the roommate but whether or not that roommates break up was less than amicable or the ex of the roommate is dangerous or violent or has a background that is worrisome.

We are concerned about the roommates ex. Can't get into specifics on the forum.

@T Lewis I sent you a conversation, not sure if you saw it. I asked if anyone has checked with the VA to see if she decided to do an inpatient PTSD treatment program. There is one in Topeka.

Yes, I called the Topeka VA center myself.

Missing: Kansas soldier suffering from PTSD, family asks for help

A Kansas soldier, a mother of two is missing. Her family is asking for anyone to come forward with information.

Sunday Ashley Miess turns 31 years-old.

But Ashley didn't spend her birthday around her family and loved ones. A little more than two weeks ago was the last time anyone heard from the military police officer living in Ogden, KS.

I think the above article is the first one I have seen in Wichita. I am glad Ashley's story is spreading!

I was just reading news about a Phoenix woman who went missing when she was to visit someone in California. She ended up in Canada and then finally found in NY. She was definitely having a breakdown and was hospitalized. But, she was able to get around a whole country before finally being noticed and being taken in for help by someone. Hoping Ashley found or finds that someone too if she is in need!

I hope and pray Ashley's outcome is similar. I'm very concerned that there is a possibility of foul play.

I did an interview with KAKE Wichita yesterday. They seem to be a caring group of people whose Director is a veteran.

Based on what is in the NBC story what I would like to know is if Ashley was wearing the same clothes - i.e. running clothes - when see at the post office or at the community center or bar. If she had changed clothes, did the witnesses at the community center or bar describe her wearing something different than what is in the post office surveillance?

The story also mentions that on previous occasions she had stayed with friends. Have those friends who let her stay before been talked to?

I do recommend reading the NBC Missing in America story I linked. There is quite a bit of background information in there.

Ashley’s father is very forthcoming with background info. I pray Ashley is found soon.

I was thinking...the phone AM used Sunday morning to call a friend......
certainly the owner of the phone should have come forward by now.
And if they haven't, why not?

Ashley has received inpatient treatment.

I would also be curious if the ex of the roommate has been vetted. If the split was acrimonious, he could possibly blame Ashley for helping his ex get away from him. Things like this have happened before.

It's being considered.

Good question.
