Yet another missing older one with dementia :( Hoping she'll be found, with her dog!

It would be really great if facilities could include dog parks in their designs. That way they’d be fenced in and neither the resident or animal would be lost. Plenty of plantings that the residents can help care for to keep them active & engaged, smooth paths for wheelchairs, etc.

I think you have a fantastic idea , I worked in a nursing home in high school and I often think of how sad and cold and depressing it was, a building with a parking lot and no outdoor area except a small back porch ...horrible

I worked in a nursing home years ago as a Business Office Manager. My window overlooked the resident garden. One day a man from the dementia unit scaled a 8’ high concrete wall and escaped. He was down the street by the time we got to him!
