maybe they thought mom wouldn't call the cops since they have gang affiliations (the bloods)

KCK Amber Alert suspects arrested, 2-yr-old safe, after he was taken in violent assault on mom, neighbor

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Kansas and Missouri both issued an Amber Alert for a missing two-year-old boy out of Kansas City, Kan., Friday afternoon. Shortly after 6 p.m., the suspect-- the non-custodial father and his wife of 2-year-old Jace Brunt-- was arrested at the Kansas City, Kan., police station.

Jace's mother says his son has also been recovered.

"I hope he rot in jail," the mother said of Jace's father.

At approximately 12:53pm, Jace Brunt was forcibly taken from his biological mother by his non-custodial father.

The mother told FOX 4's Shannon O'Brien that he has taken Jace without permission once before.

I saw that and thought the same thing.

She has a baby herself she should have thought about.

So happy Jace will be okay and hopefully won't remember this.

This poor little boy is in a rough/tough family! His growing up years are almost predictable, unfortunately!

The father and his wife who participated in taking him are members of "the bloods".

His biological mother, who he was taken from, had this to say after Jace was recovered:

"I hope he not in jail" the mother said of Jace's father". What?! You have to be kidding me!

"I'm happy that I get to get my son back and I hope he rot in jail because he shouldn't have did that and then you bring somebody else down with you. I hope she rot in jail, too. You should have known better not to grab no kid that does not belong to you," the mother said of Jace's father.

Mother reunited with her baby boy, father & his wife in jail on suspicion of kidnapping

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- A mother was reunited Friday evening with her two-year-old son, who police say was taken illegally and violently by his non-custodial father and his wife. Two-year-old Jace Brunt became the center of an Amber Alert.

Police say the two suspects, Joshua Brunt, 25, and Jasmine Brunt, 24, are in the Wyandotte County Jail, awaiting charges.
