His wife posted this update saying it seems he left of his own volition but they still don't know where he is.

I'm sad for his family and don't want to speculate about the reasons for his departure, serves no purpose at this point IMO.

@Jessesgirl - I'm so sorry. Please know you have a support system here should you ever need it.

She doesn't actually say she KNOWS he left of his own volition. She's guessing because he's been seen. Maybe he's having a mental break or something.

@Jessesgirl praying for you & your children, praying for Jesse too. Please feel free to reach out if needed.

Cheyenne County Sheriff's Office

An update was requested.
LE replied that there were no other updates that felt they could share at this time. However, they still feel he is not in any danger.

New post on the Help Find Jesse FB page. Still sounds like he left by his own free will. Absolutely heartbreaking for his wife and 6 young kids.

Oh my! This is definitely heartbreaking. I can’t imagine what his family is going through. I pray he makes contact with them or at least someone soon. Terribly sad indeed!

Somehow I don't think he's still alive, unless he planned it and had help.

I wish I could say the same, but unfortunately all we get is that LE isn't concerned and nobody else should be either. I'll bet there are things we don't know, but I truly hope he is alive and will contact his family eventually. MOO

Yeah, we (the public) don't know what LE's conclusion is based on, though the family might. It could be just the absence of signs that he could have self-harmed or there could be evidence that he planned to leave. It seems that nobody is thinking of accident or foul play at this point.

This reminded me of John Sturkie, somehow. That’s a story with a sad uncertain ending.

I thought John's death was deemed accidental. His truck got stuck on a mountain trail in bad weather and he presumably tried to hike down the mountain and fell. He was found six months later.

It appears that Jesse left home on foot. All his vehicles were accounted for. The terrain around Saint Francis seems mostly flat, with some water sources, but not many wooded areas.

Im curious if he has a vehicle ? I might have missed that ? If he is not from that area its not like he can just go hunt like he owns the land, other people are there hunting, farming etc... Im wondering if his work offer him a gig somewhere else and he didn't want to talk about it with fam ? If he thinks he is going off the grid in KS thats not real. IMO its time to call in the P.I. outta of pocket at least to find where to send the court documents for child support !

BBM. From the second post on this thread: "The Sheriff’s Office said both of Crookston’s vehicles are accounted for." IMO he either left on foot or someone else picked him up.

Thanks ! Im just saying if Im in my home range I can survive a long time, I know the seasons and when to avoid certain areas due to certain people. But if Im outta state or my home range, that hiding spot might already be occupied by another person, hunting or living rough. He had to get a ride, IMO even if it was a hitchhiking deal to get started in direction. He could just be working in another state and just straight up turned his back on his family. Its stressful to have a family.

Were there ever any updates on this case? I came across this case when reading about another. Seemed baffling to me after all this time that nothing had come up or he’s not made contact at least if still out there?

His wife last posted on the dedicated fb page in August, stating that there were no news. He seems to have vanished into thin air.
