11am was presumably checkout time at the Days Inn. Was he on a short or long term stay? Who reported him missing and why (could family not reach him by phone, for instance?). Where does he reside?

Thanks for posting his Facebook.
It seems he posted a couple times the day before he went missing and a couple times on the day he disappeared.
Skimming over his page, it seems he has people who are getting pretty worried that he has not been heard from.
It also appears he has a son. I hope KSPD gets a lead soon.

Family of man missing in KCK say he was lured to hotel

Updated Information

July 31, 2021

The family of a man who went missing in Kansas City, Kansas say they want answers.

Justin Siwek, 32, hasn’t been in touch with his family since late June. Since then, his family says they still don’t know where he is or if he’s alive.

Siwek’s dad, Scott Siwek, said they tracked his son to the Days Inn in KCK, but when they got there they found his car abandoned and empty with the window pried open, and the glass broken.

Scott said his son, Justin, went out June 19 with a young woman he didn’t know well that he believes Justin met on Facebook.

The next day (June 20), Scott, Justin, and Justin’s son had plans to go fishing for Father’s Day. However, Justin never showed up.

Scott decided to go ahead and take Justin’s son fishing, and on the boat they got a call from Justin.

“I’m going to be honest with you, it sounded like a distress call. By the sound of his voice I could tell something wasn’t right,” Siwek said.

Justin told his dad he was at the Days Inn in KCK and needed help getting home, but dad was too far away at Hillsdale Lake.

When he got to the hotel, Justin’s car was left in the parking lot with one of the windows broken, and all of his belongings stolen.

Justin’s cellphone showed up on Facebook Marketplace days later, being sold by the woman he was with that night.

LE set up a sting to get the phone, but at the last minute that sting was cancelled.

According to Scott, LE have not interviewed the woman yet.

Family of man missing in KCK say he was lured to hotel

July 31, 2021

The KCK Police Department said in a statement:

“While we cannot speak to specific details in the case of Justin Siwek’s disappearance without compromising the integrity of the investigation, we do want to say that [we] understand the emotion and frustration that his family, and the families of other missing persons, experience. Detectives with the KCKPD are both skilled and dedicated. However, it takes more than skill and dedication to solve these difficult cases – it takes cooperation from people who have important information.

It is our belief that there are people within our community who have information regarding Justin’s disappearance, and unless or until they share that information, we will all continue to wait.

Family of Justin Siwek say Kansas City, Kansas police need to do more
[...]

Kansas City, Kansas Police were not available to comment at the time of this report, but previously told FOX4 they need people to come forward with information and they understand the family’s frustration. They also could not comment if the woman who tried to sell the phone has been questioned in this case. She is currently in jail on unrelated charges.

[...]

Swiek’s family said they know he’s gone, but for them the hardest part is knowing his seven-year-old son, J, will grow up without his dad. They say he raised him as a single father from the time he was born with help from his parents, and now his son doesn’t understand where he is.

“He misses his dad. He thinks that his dad got kidnapped by somebody he talked to, because you’re not supposed to talk to strangers and his dad talked to people too much. For a seven year old he needs to have a place. A place to go, a funeral,” Sidebottom said. “We’ll never see him again. When they find his body, wherever they put him – in the river or they buried him. We’ll never see him again. That’s the hardest part. I feel like he didn’t die for nothing.”

[...]

KCKPD did say the family has been assigned a victim’s advocate in this case, which is rare for a missing person’s case. They say this speaks to the fact that they have and will continue to dedicate considerable resources and effort to the case. The family disagrees and says they call the detective on the case each Monday but usually get their voicemail. Sweik says she’s left multiple messages for the victim’s advocate, but has never talked to them or received a call back.

[...]

If you have any information about what happened to Justin Siwek you are asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477. The family says he was last seen at QuickTrip near the Days Inn off Elizabeth Ave. in KCK on Father’s Day around noon.
