Bio family named her Kadillak. Foster family called her Anna.
What???? That seems really confusing to me.
Bio family named her Kadillak. Foster family called her Anna.

Because there are SO many of these incidents this year, and because the impact tends to get diluted with so many individual threads, I am thinking of starting an omnibus thread for hot car incidents (separate from the Cooper Harris case and other major prosecutions.) Thoughts?
Prosecutors allege Wichita foster dad was smoking pot while baby girl was dying in hot car
WICHITA, Kan. Accused of being high on marijuana and wanting more, a foster-father had his bond maintained at $250,000 as he faces charges in the death of his 10-month-old foster daughter inside a hot car. The District Attorneys Office of Sedgwick County revealed in court that they believe marijuana was a contributing factor in the death of the 10-month old girl.
I am so angry right now I think I could spit nails!

prosecutors have evidence that Jackson drove his five-year-old adopted son to an appointment, then went to pick up Kadillak at daycare. With the kids in the car, prosecutors say Jackson drove to a drug dealers house to buy more marijuana because he had run out. They say when he returned home, Jackson left the baby in the car, while the 5-year-old managed to get out by himself.
(I wish the press wouldn't use that messed up name for her.) I read an article yesterday that he is not allowed to speak to any of the people on the witness list... his mom and his partner are both on the list. I keep typing and deleting my words...this is just too much. From your link:

So he scored while the kids were in the car, too

"A child crying on the television show "Game of Thrones" jogged a foster parent's memory that he had left a 10-month-old girl inside a sweltering car while he and his partner smoked marijuana at their house, a police affidavit released Monday says."Seth Jackson, 29, is charged with first-degree murder in the July 24 death in Wichita. No charges have been filed against his partner."
The charge against Jackson,:
" Sedgwick County District Attorney Marc Bennett said the first-degree murder charge was warranted because the child died during the commission of an inherently dangerous felony, aggravated endangering of a child. The case is not charged as intentional murder." BBM
Sad, sad, sad. RIP Baby Girl.
